The couple Kalaiyarasan – Priyalaya are running a YouTube channel in their name. They live comfortably with the income they get from their YouTube channel, which has more than 3 lakh followers, a big bungalow, a house, and a car. Suddenly, one day, their YouTube channel is deleted, leaving them without any income. They are stuck in debt problems. At that time, a mysterious person contacts them over the phone and says that they are running a reality show and if they participate in it and win, they will get crores of money. At the same time, the person who imposes many rules, including not telling anyone about this reality show, says that this competition between couples must be played for 7 days in their home, and that if they win the tasks given, the prize money will increase, and if they fail, they will lose the prize money they won.
The couple, who participate in the mystery man’s competition for their financial needs and to recover from their debt problems, initially win simple competitions and win a few lakhs, but in the subsequent competitions they encounter unexpected problems. What are they? What kind of problems are arising in their lives as a result? ‘Trending’ is a way of telling the conscience of those who earn money through social media in a way that shakes the conscience of those who earn money through social media.
Kalaiyarasan, who plays the protagonist, and Priyalaya, who plays the heroine, have lifted the entire film with their performances. The screenplay and scenes, which are designed around the conversations and emotional moments between the two, have been interestingly moved by their natural acting.
After a long gap, Kalaiyarasan has been praised for using his acting skills in a very good way. Kalaiyarasan, who has acted through his eyes without speaking in many places, attracts attention by showing excellent performance in places where his character’s characteristics change.
Actress Priyalaya, known for her dancing, has made a mark as an excellent actress in this film. She has competed with the hero in a role that is equal to her, and captivates the audience with her emotional performance.
Although it is a small role, Prem Kumar’s character and his performance have added strength to the screenplay. The arrival of Besant Nagar Ravi, Vidya Borgia, and Shivanaya has helped the screenplay turn.
Cinematographer Praveen Balu, who has shown differences in the scenes through different angles, has shot the scenes in a way that the emotional performances of the characters attract the attention of the audience.

In particular, in addition to sharing their daily life incidents, there is a tragedy of sharing some private things as well. Sivaraj has written and directed the film in a way that is not only a warning to such people but also a warning bell.
Although the film initially moves interestingly, such as the sudden deletion of the couple’s YouTube channel, the invitation to a reality show at that time, and the problems that arise from it, the audience can guess all the problems that the couple will face. However, the second season of the competition, which begins after Prem Kumar’s arrival, and the tasks given to the couple in it are shocking.
Although the story takes place in one place and the problems that arise between the husband and wife through the competition seem to be predictable, the performances of Kalaiyarasan and Priyalaya make the film somewhat enjoyable.
