The thieves Vaibav and his friend Manikanda Rajesh are being chased by Dada Sihan Husaini for Rs. 2 crore. To escape from him, Vaibav takes refuge with Anandaraj, John Vijay, Mottai Rajendran and Sunil Reddy and plans to rob a bank with them. Did their plan succeed? Did Vaibav escape from Dada? ‘Chennai City Gangsters’ is a humorous story.
Vaibav, who handles comedy characters normally, has done the same in this one too. Even his casual speech makes you laugh. Despite his very ordinary acting in terms of dialogue pronunciation and body language, Vaibhav makes people laugh throughout the film.
Manikanda Rajesh, who plays the second lead, has worked hard to make the audience laugh. However, his efforts have not been fruitful as he lacks the timing of Vaibhav.
Marathi Mottai Rajendran, Kudikaran Sunil, the deaf, John Vijay, Anandaraj who turns into a policeman when he hears the sound of a siren, Livingston, and Sihan Hussaini all make people laugh a little and bore them a little as usual.
Athulya Ravi, who plays the heroine, does not have much work. She makes an appearance in a few scenes.
The songs in D.Iman’s music are okay. The background music is so-so.
Cinematographer DJ Tommy has shot the scenes in color.
Vikram Rajeshwar, who has written and directed the film, has tried to tell an old story in a comedy way. The emphasis is entirely on comedy, so you can definitely laugh even if you don’t look at the logic.
