Chennai, June 16, 2025: JioHotstar has released the teaser of the ‘Good Wife’ series, which will be released as a JioHotstar special. It has become a topic of discussion among fans on social media. The series is the Tamil version of the internationally acclaimed series ‘Good Wife’. Starring National Award-winning actress Priyamani and talented actor Sampath Raj, the series is directed by actress-director Revathi. This marks Revathi’s debut as a director in OTT.
The same series was also made in Hindi under the name ‘The Trial- Pyar, Qanoon, Doga’, starring actors Kajol and Jishoo Sengupta. It was released on JioHotstar and was a success. Now the series has been adapted to the Tamil audience.
Actress-director Revathi happily shared about her debut as a director in OTT, “I am happy to have the opportunity to direct this in Tamil after the success of ‘Good Wife’ in the Hindi remake. The heroine’s character in this story is very strong. She faces a lot of challenges both personally and professionally. I loved shooting this from the script. It was a pleasure to work with talented actors like Priyamani and Sampath Raj. It is a joyful experience for me to step into the world of OTT with JioHotstar and PaniJ Asia.”

The original U.S. series was created and executive produced by Robert and Michelle King. Ridley Scott, David Zucker and Brooke Kennedy also served as executive producers. ‘The Good Wife’ is produced by CBS Studios, Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. Paramount Global Content Distribution has acquired the format rights.
