Produced by Jayabharathi Rangaraj under the banner of O.P.R.B. Productions, the film ‘Cuts’ stars debutant Rangaraj in the lead role and ‘Sirakadika Aasaay’ fame Shruti Narayanan in the female lead. The film also stars Srilekha, Delhi Ganesh, Sai Deena and others in important roles, and has music composed by Jose Franklin.
The music and trailer launch of the film, which is an action-adventure film, was recently held at Prasad Label in Chennai. Guild Sangam President Jaguar Thangam, Guild Secretary Duraisamy, Tiger Chakravarthy, Shivani Senthil, Satyapathy, Ismail and many others attended as special guests.
Speaking at the event, director Shivani Senthil said, “The director-actor of this film, Rangaraj, is my friend. He has an immense passion for cinema. He has developed his talents for cinema. Success is important in cinema. For me, his presence on this stage is a victory. For this, I first praise and welcome him. Everyone has a desire to make a movie. Rangaraj had it today. Vetrimaaran had it ten years ago. The work and struggles for this are different. However, the only thing that prevents this desire is fear. If you have the fear of not being able to do it, no one can make a movie. If you want to get rid of that fear, you need a little faith, a little struggle. If you believe that you can do it, you can make a movie. If you are not afraid, you can succeed in the movie. I wish this movie success,” he said.
Speaking, Jaguar Thangam said, “We saw the trailer of the movie Cuts. It is very good. I congratulate the film crew. The newcomer hero has acted well. He is a fierce action hero on screen. I wish this movie a huge success,” he said.
Speaking, Guild Secretary Duraisamy said, “The producer, hero, and director of this movie, Rangaraj, is like a brother to me. That is why I have a close relationship with this movie crew. I wish this film directed by Anbuthambi Rangaraj a huge success.
The director has not only made the film but also succeeded in his efforts to screen the film as he said in the songs of Purananutru. This film should be successful and earn him a profit. It is our duty to make him a legend. Give good reviews to this film and make it a success,” he said.
Actress Srilekha said, “I have been doing what my ancestors taught me in acting. It doesn’t matter how many years we have been together. What matters is how we are with everyone. I am happy to meet all of you who have come here. Hero Rangaraj has played my son in this film. Although he is a new face, he has a lot of talent. I am sure you will support him.
He has faced a lot of humiliation on the sets. But he will not criticize anyone. That is why he has also become a director. Rangaraj is the right person for the title of this film. I wish him success,” he said.
Music composer Jose Franklin said, “There are three songs in this film. Director Rangaraj has written all three songs. Director Rangaraj is a hard worker who works with dedication. Working with him is an unforgettable experience. Everyone should support this film,” he said.
Actress Shruti Narayanan said, “I thank director Rangaraj for giving me this opportunity. I thank the director for teaching me how to act my character on the set. I request everyone to support this film,” she said.
Actor-producer-director Rangaraj said, “My first salutation to the mother of art. I have been struggling to become an actor in cinema for 25 years. Wherever I asked for an opportunity, they only asked for money. At one point, I became depressed and decided to quit. At that time, my friends directed short films and said that I could make a film for 15 lakhs. This gave me hope. I started making the film. I did not know anything about film production at that time. It was only after the work on the film started that I realized that it was impossible to make a film for 15 lakhs. I kept fighting so that I would not put my foot down. Since my childhood, I have not compromised on quality. At this time, all my family members stood by me. I thank them for this.
I have no film background. No political power. No financial power. I am the son of a mother who bakes and sells idli in a remote village. Today I am a
