Abinaya Selvam, founder of Happy High Pictures, said:
“My heartfelt thanks to all the journalists, media friends and audiences who have given Anbil Avan such tremendous support. The response we received from the very first day of release, particularly over the weekend, has made us extremely happy. Your support has helped take this film to a much wider audience.
I would like to thank Ashok Selvan, Preethi Mukundhan, Kathir, Maha, Akash, Praveen and everyone else who acted in this film. Writer Vignesh, director Karthik, cinematographer Gautham Rajendran, music composer Govind Vasantha, editor Selva and all the other technicians have contributed their very best.
I would also like to thank executive producer Sethu, PRO Yuvaraj, the advertising and digital teams, and our distributors Sri Kumaran Films and Thirumurugan, who supported the making and release of this film. The support of theatre owners has also played an important role in its journey.
We continue to receive positive feedback about Anbil Avan. Discussions are also underway about remaking the film in Hindi, and we are planning a Telugu remake as well. Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported our film. We hope you will continue to support us.”
Producer and Director of Promotions Kavitha’s Address
Producer and Director of Promotions Kavitha said:
“My thanks to all the journalists, media friends, fans and audiences. Just as the production team plays a vital role in making a film, promotional activities are equally important.
Since Anbil Avan was released, the number of theatres screening the film and the number of shows have continued to increase every day. The support from audiences, along with reviews, news reports and posts shared by actors and others about the film, has given us tremendous confidence. We were particularly encouraged when news and discussions about the film began appearing consistently after Saturday.
We are continuing to work hard to bring the film to an even wider audience. Munk, Sith and the other members of the promotional team who worked alongside me, as well as those responsible for outdoor advertising, newspaper advertisements, posters and wall publicity, have all worked with great dedication. It is wonderful to see everyone working together to ensure that every task is carried out successfully.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. Please continue to support us. Thank you.”
Art Director Manikandan’s Address
Manikandan said:
“Working on this film has been a good experience for me. Although I had already worked on three films, I am grateful to everyone who gave me the opportunity to work on this project.
Initially, another art director was working on the film, but he was unable to continue because of health issues. After that, Ashok sir contacted me and asked me to join the project.
I had a good working environment on this film. We created several sets in Chennai that were originally intended to be built in Munnar, which helped reduce costs. We constructed numerous sets specifically for the film. The cinematographer was very supportive and captured the sets I created beautifully. The director and everyone else ensured that I had a positive working environment. My sincere thanks to all of them.”
Costume Designer Benita’s Address
Benita said:
“This is my first film, and working on it has been an excellent learning experience. I was very happy with the way everyone worked together.
I would like to thank director Karthik sir, Ashok and Preethi for giving me this opportunity. They are all very cooperative actors, and designing costumes for them was a wonderful experience. I also thank the other actors and the entire film crew.
My thanks to everyone who supported me, especially Abhi madam. Production designer Mani anna and cinematographer Gautham were very supportive from the beginning of the film. I have also made many wonderful friends through this project, which makes me very happy. Thank you all.”
Kiran Hein, Son of Stunt Master Peter Hein, Speaks
Kiran Hein said:
“Greetings to everyone gathered here. We never expected that we would be speaking at an event like this. However, it is wonderful to see journalists supporting the film. We are equally happy that our family members have come here to show their support.
Both of us are a little shy, so we did not really prepare for this occasion.
Everyone on this film team deserves all the love and appreciation they are receiving. Each person has worked extremely hard on this project. It makes us happy to see their efforts being appreciated and supported by audiences.
I hope the journalists will continue to help spread the word about this film and encourage more people to visit theatres and watch it. Thank you.”
Creative Producer Abraham’s Address
Creative Producer Abraham said:
“Fans continue to send us congratulatory messages about this film. We receive hundreds of such messages every day.
When we started Happy High Pictures, Ashok and Abhi happily joined us on this journey. Our objective as producers has always been to make films that audiences do not forget as soon as they leave the theatre. We want them to think about the film, talk about it after returning home and, in some way, relate it to their own lives.
Over the past two years, we have faced many challenges while making this film. Nevertheless, Ashok and Abhi believed in the project and stood by us, putting everything on the line for it. Personally, the most significant measure of success for me is receiving such heartfelt messages from audiences. Love and respect cannot be bought; they must be earned through our hard work. The affection and support people are showing us have made us immensely happy.
The number of theatres and shows has been increasing day by day, and we hope this will also lead to higher revenue. However, the success of Anbil Avan cannot be measured solely in terms of box-office collections. Cinema should not be judged only by revenue and ratings. The impact a film has on people and the cultural conversations it inspires are equally important.
It is a pleasure to see our film releasing alongside other promising films such as Mandadi, Paththa, Meesaya Murukku 2 and Ezhumalai Ezhukadal. These films are helping expand the horizons of Tamil cinema. Just as people still remember the first film we produced, I hope Anbil Avan will also be remembered whenever people talk about love and marriage.
This film is for people who are in love, those who wish to fall in love, those who marry the people they love, and those who want to preserve their love even after marriage. It will also resonate with people who believe they should not sacrifice love for their dreams or give up their dreams for love.
I encourage everyone to watch Anbil Avan, which continues to run in theatres. The film will make you laugh and cry. It will make you agree with certain things and disagree with others. But when you walk out of the theatre, you will carry the film home with you in your thoughts.
I am extremely proud of this film. Thank you.”
Executive Producer Sethu’s Address
Executive Producer Sethu said:
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who worked hard on this film. My thanks to everyone who attended this event and extended their support, as well as to every member of the film team.”
Director Karthikeyan’s Address
Director Karthikeyan said:
“My thanks to all our friends in the press and media who have supported us from the beginning. It is heartwarming to see audiences connecting emotionally with the film and sharing their experiences with us.
It is important not only for producers to make a profit but also for the film we create to reach audiences in the way we intended. In the case of Anbil Avan, both these things have happened. We are particularly moved by the feedback from audiences about men who care deeply for their families and the impact our characters have had on them.
I would like to thank the technicians, assistant directors, art director Manikandan Srinivasan, costume designer Benita Ramanathan, PRO Yuvaraj, the promotional team and everyone else who worked on this film. Think Music also continued to support the project. Ashok Selvan, Preethi Mukundhan and the other actors have all delivered their best performances. Preethi’s acting, especially the emotions she conveys in the final sequences, deserves special appreciation.
When Ashok anna entrusted this film to me, I felt a tremendous sense of responsibility. I thank everyone who helped refine Vignesh Raj’s story into a screenplay and bring it to life on screen. The support of a good production house is extremely important for new directors. I am delighted that many people have appreciated the screenplay. The fact that several directors have watched the film and praised it has also encouraged us.
Just as my father has guided me in life, Ashok anna has guided me in cinema. When I gave him the first screenplay I had written, he read it and told me the very next day that he loved it. That gave me enormous confidence.
He gives new directors opportunities and helps create a path for them to pursue their ambitions. He has done even more for this film than I asked of him. I am deeply grateful to him. I am proud to have worked on this film and to have been part of his successful journey.”
Maha Delhi Ganesh’s Address
Maha Delhi Ganesh said:
“First of all, I would like to thank everyone. Ashok, I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. Only my family knows how important this film has been in my life and how much it has changed things for me. You have been one of the main reasons for that, and I sincerely thank you.
My heartfelt thanks to the director as well. I have shared many things with you, and there is still so much more I would like to say about you. However, considering the time, I will keep it brief.
Preethi, only I know how important your support has been to me. Thank you so much for your cooperation and encouragement.
Abhi, my sincere thanks to you too. You have treated all the actors with great affection and continued to stand by us. Thank you for the support you have given all of us.
I would also like to thank everyone else on the team.
My best wishes to all the women who worked with me. I hope every film you make becomes a great success. Finally, I would like to thank my mother for being here.”
Actor Kathir Balu’s Address
Kathir Balu said:
“First, I would like to thank my parents and everyone who has gathered here. My thanks to my mentor, P. Vasu sir, my guide, Radha Ravi anna, and everyone who has supported me.
Anbil Avan is an important film in both my life and my acting career. I entered the film industry dreaming of becoming a director, just like my father. That dream is still alive in me. I am grateful to Anbil Avan for supporting me on this journey.
Director Karthikeyan, Mahesh and others have helped bring a new dimension to my acting. I thank all the technicians, assistant directors and production management team members who worked on this film. I witnessed their hard work and dedication firsthand during the shoot.
Although I have played several characters in the past, Anbil Avan has given me a new identity. This film taught me how to portray a villain through performance rather than simply shouting dialogues. Ashok Selvan sir gave me this opportunity because he wanted to try something different from the conventional approach.
It is commendable that he supports people who have talent but are still waiting for the right opportunities.
I will also never forget my experience working with master Peter Hein. Performing action sequences in the cold from night until the following morning was unforgettable. Ashok sir was very supportive of me during the shoot.
The experience and recognition I have gained through this film make me very happy. My heartfelt thanks to Ashok Selvan, director Karthikeyan and everyone who gave me this opportunity.”
Actor Akash’s Address
Akash said:
“The first person I need to thank is Ashok sir. After watching one of my short films, he was the first to decide that I should play the character of Nagaraj in this film.
Next, I would like to thank my director, Karthikeyan sir. My heartfelt thanks to both of them for giving me this opportunity.
My name is Akash Murugan, and I played Nagaraj in Anbil Avan. I would like to thank everyone who has attended this event.”
Actress Preethi Mukundhan’s Address
Preethi Mukundhan said:
“Thinking that this may be the last time we speak about this film on stage makes me very emotional. I have already thanked the film crew and technicians, and now I would like to express my gratitude to our friends in the press and media.
I have read all the reviews of the film. Beyond commenting on the film itself, many of you beautifully acknowledged the hard work and passion behind it. I sincerely thank all of you for that.
Since the film’s release, we have been receiving numerous messages from audiences. I was particularly happy to see women and young girls sharing their feelings and experiences.
If a film touches the hearts of its viewers and moves them emotionally, that itself is a tremendous achievement. Some of my favourite films have changed my life as well. If a film we have created can have a similar impact on someone else’s life, I consider it a blessing.
My thanks to all the fans who watched the film in theatres, appreciated our efforts and shared their love and support with us.
Watching this film for the first time was an extremely emotional experience for me. Because I was so nervous, I couldn’t sit inside the theatre and watch it from the beginning. While the film was playing, I went inside and started watching it while standing on the side staircase. Director Karthik, Ashok and other members of the team were there with me.
I stood there watching the film for nearly an hour and a half. Tears came to my eyes. More than worrying about how the film would be received, I felt immensely proud and happy watching what we had created. It was such a beautiful and emotionally powerful film.
As an actress, being part of a film like this is truly a blessing. Even when I look back on it in the future, I know I will always be proud to have acted in it.
The visual composition and cinematography were beautiful. Every scene conveyed its suspense, emotions and romance in a way that could be fully experienced in the theatre. The film offers a wonderful cinematic experience.
I must thank director Karthik for giving me this opportunity. He gave me plenty of scope to perform and crafted my character beautifully. Many people particularly appreciated the scenes I shared with the inspector character. Seeing people discuss those scenes on social media made me extremely happy.
This film is truly a beautiful cinematic experience that touches the heart. I encourage everyone to visit theatres, watch it and support us. It makes me very happy to see audiences enjoying and appreciating the film. Once again, thank you all for your support.”
Actor and Producer Ashok Selvan’s Address
Ashok Selvan said:
“First of all, I would like to thank the audience for making this film a success. The support people gave films such as Oh My Kadavule has been a tremendous source of strength for me. I see Anbil Avan as another film in that same journey.
We have made this film in a way that begins as a love story and then moves through several genres, including thriller and action. Many people have told us that they were emotionally moved after watching it. The film may have a few shortcomings, but I believe its heart and soul are in the right place.
I thank our friends in the press and media, as well as the audience, for their support since the film’s release. Despite facing stiff competition from other releases, the film has continued to grow and has now reached a profitable position. I want even more people to watch it in theatres. Rather than relying solely on other people’s reviews, please watch the film and form your own opinions. I believe this film will be discussed even more in the years to come.
My thanks to actress Preethi Mukundhan, director Karthikeyan, cinematographer Gautham, music composer Govind Vasantha, stunt master Peter Hein and all the technicians who worked on the film. Everyone has given their complete dedication to this project over the past two years.
The support of my parents, my wife and my family has also been very important. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Abhi and the entire production team, my friends, and our friends in the press and media.
As a producer, one of my greatest joys from this film is having been able to provide opportunities to talented actors. I have also attended numerous auditions while trying to enter the film industry myself. That experience has always made me believe that talented people deserve the right opportunities.
I believe this film has given a good platform and recognition to several actors, including Maha, Kathir, Akash, Praveen and Deepan.
This film explores the depth of love and the emotions associated with it. I believe it will resonate with many people, whether they are in love now or have experienced love in the past. Those who have not yet watched it in theatres should definitely do so and support us.”
