Malayalam film industry’s leading star actor Dileep and actress Kavya Madhavan have launched a new Kerala-style restaurant named ‘Dhe Puttu’ in Anna Nagar, Chennai.
Dining out and enjoying one’s favourite food has become an integral part of today’s global food culture. In this regard, ‘Dhe Puttu’, owned by the star couple Dileep and Kavya Madhavan, has been successfully serving popular Kerala delicacies while preserving the traditional flavours and culinary heritage of the region.
The new branch of ‘Dhe Puttu’ has been opened in Anna Nagar, Chennai, with the aim of bringing the authentic and traditional flavours of Kerala to the Malayali community in Chennai as well as to others who enjoy Kerala cuisine.
The grand opening ceremony was held today, with renowned producer Gokulam Gopalan attending as the chief guest and inaugurating the restaurant.
The event was attended by several prominent personalities from the film industry, including actors Ashokan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Ashokan and Riyaz Khan, and actresses Meena, Sharada, Sheela, Seema, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mirnaa, Poornima Bhagyaraj and Kiki Vijay.
MLA Lima Rose Martin, director Priyadarshan, producers Kannan Ravi, Siva, Vijayakumar, Ravi Kottarakkara, Seven Arts Vijayakumar, Prince Pictures Venkatesh, A.V. Anoop and Mini Studio Vinod Kumar, singers Rakesh Brahmanandan and Sujatha Mohan, choreographers Kala Master and Sandy Master, stunt masters Kanal Kannan Master and Mafia Sasi Master, cinematographer Abhinandan Ramanujan, Dr. Chaitanya, Dr. K. Girish, and several other prominent personalities from the film industry also attended the occasion.
One of the major highlights of ‘Dhe Puttu’ is its wide range of 80 varieties of puttu, a traditional Kerala delicacy. This extensive variety is the restaurant’s distinctive speciality.
The brand, which has several outlets across different locations, has now expanded its presence to Chennai with the launch of its new Anna Nagar branch.
Internationally, ‘Dhe Puttu’ has also established outlets in Gulf countries, including Dubai, Sharjah, Jeddah and Doha, where the restaurants continue to operate successfully with strong support from customers.
The interiors of the newly opened Anna Nagar outlet have been designed to reflect the culture, heritage and traditions of Kerala.
With 80 varieties of puttu and a wide selection of traditional Kerala delicacies on offer, the new branch has already begun attracting food enthusiasts who have a special fondness for puttu and authentic Kerala cuisine.
