A young couple Darshan – Arsha Shanthini Baiju buy a house in the apartment complex. In the same house, Kaali Venkat, his wife Vinodini and their child live. One family does not know that the other family lives. Due to this, both the parties think that this is a supernatural work, but later they understand that it is not supernatural but science. At the same time, the two families face many shocking and surprising problems through the things that they keep sharing and the incidents happening around them. What are they?, What is the reason for them getting stuck in such a strange scientific problem?, Did they escape from it? ‘House Mates’ is an attempt to answer questions based on science in a simple way.

Science has not yet given a complete answer to questions like how the universe came into being and what its future holds. These are being investigated through theoretical and scientific research. In that way, answers to many things that are unbelievable in science are being sought. The plot of this film is such a search.

Director T. Rajavel, who released the trailer to make the story of the film easy to guess, has included a huge scientific surprise in the film and has made the audience understand the shocking events happening around it in an interesting way. However, even if the explanation he gave is understandable, the fact that he did not give the right solution to accept it is a bit of a weakness for the film.

Darshan and Kali Venkat, who play the heroes of the story, and Arsha Chandini Baiju and Vinodini, who play the heroines, have done the job given flawlessly.

The other characters like Deena, Abdul Lee, Master Henrik have traveled in a way that adds strength to the flow of the screenplay.

The songs and background music in the music of composer Rajesh Murugesan have traveled according to the story. He has conveyed the unbelievable things and the feelings of the characters of the story that travel with it in the minds of the audience through his background music and made them travel inside that house.

Cinematographer M.S. Sathish has put in a lot of effort in the same house, two different angles. Even though most of the scenes move in the same house, he has displayed them in different forms with his camera and made it look amazing.

Editor A.Nishar Shareef has handled the very challenging task very well. Art director N.K.Rahul’s work has also added strength to the film.

Written and directed by D.Rajavel, even though he takes an unbelievable thing as the plot, he sets the screenplay and scenes for it on a scientific basis, making the audience one with the film.

Although the things said in the climax and the solution to them may cause confusion for some, if director Rajavel, who has provided solutions to them through dialogues, had explained it through visuals, the audience would have been completely satisfied.

Despite many surprises and some confusions, director T. Rajavel, who has directed his first film as a new endeavor and full of challenges, can be generously praised and welcomed.
