A priceless crown has been protected by the members of the royal family for generations. The crown is displayed to the people only during the village temple festival which is held once in four years. As such, Marimuthu, the current generation of the royal family, is protecting that crown.

In this situation, it is revealed that the crown with Marimuthu is fake and the original crown is in an old well in that town. But even after knowing the truth, the royal family and the people of the town are afraid to go down the well and take the crown. How did the crown go into the well? What was the reason for the town’s fear of the well? Was the crown in the well taken? Or not?, is the rest of the story of the movie ‘Thookudhurai’.

The screenplay is set with Yogi Babu as the central character even though he comes in fewer scenes. That’s why they paired him with Iniya and made him appear in a few scenes.

Yogi Babu routinely makes people laugh with his witty lines. But, he only appears in a few scenes which makes other scenes a bit boring. Balasaravanan, Mahesh, Chandrayan and I God Rajendran have worked hard to make the fans laugh so that the people do not know the lack of Yogi Babu.

Ravi Varma’s cinematography and KS Manoj’s music have traveled according to the story. Cinematographer Deepak S. Dwarkanath is stumped as to how to move the film in the humorous suspense thriller genre.

Denis Manjunath, who has written and directed, has designed the scenes with full emphasis on comedy, but at the end of the film he has told a small message in a comical style to be enjoyed.

Even though Yogi Babu’s dates are few and far between, Ikkunar Denis Manjunath, who has tried to direct a film focusing on him, praised him for the story and screenplay written accordingly, but if he had given importance to Yogi Babu, the film would also have been appreciated.
