Survived by wife Rachel Rebecca and 8-year-old son, Yogi Babu works as a broker in a private real estate firm. Struggling with poverty, Yogi Babu attributes his condition to luck. Yogi Babu, who thinks he is unlucky since childhood, gets a car as a prize in a lottery ticket. Celebrating that car as his first fortune, Yogi Babu makes progress in business and rises financially.
Meanwhile, Yogi Babu’s car suddenly disappears?, What happened to Yogi Babu’s life after that?, Did Yogi Babu find the missing car again? Isn’t it? That is the rest of the story of the film.
Yogi Babu, who is not only playing a comedy role but also the hero of the story and is getting appreciation, has done justice to the character with a very natural performance. Although he makes people laugh with his usual comic lines at times, his performances in emotional scenes keep the audience in awe.
Rachel Rebecca, who plays Yogi Babu’s wife, adds strength to her character with a natural performance.
Veera’s performance as a cop is outstanding. Abdul Lee’s scenes are all laugh out loud.
Sandeep K. Vijay’s cinematography and Shaun Roldan’s music have traveled well with the story. Madan’s cinematography is exquisite.
Director Balaji Venugopal has not only given the best advice to those who are not going to the next stage by relying on luck, but has also given it as a lesson and a good movie that can be enjoyed by all parties.
This film has proved that director Balaji Venugopal, who chooses the right actors for the characters, gets the right amount of performance from them and moves the script fast and interestingly, will emerge as an indispensable director in Tamil cinema.
All in all, this ‘Lucky Man’ is not only a good movie but also a life story that fans can relate to.
