Of all the movies that released this year, very few have reached the audience and went on to become memorable. Director Samuthirakani’s ‘Appa’ can be easily added to the list.
The film was not only welcomed well by the audience but also was critically acclaimed for its content which delivered a social message.
Going by what sources it is learnt that movie will be remade in Malayalam and will have veteran actor Jayaram in the lead role.
Samuthirakani will just stick to direction this time, while he played the lead role in the Tamil Version which was also produced under his banner Nadodigal Productions.
It is also reported that Asha Sharath of ‘Papanasam’ fame will playing a pivotal role in the movie .
Shooting for the movie is expected to start in November with the official announcement on the project to be made anytime soon.
