“Once More”, directed by debut filmmaker Vignesh Srikanth, is a romantic drama centred on love, emotions and entertainment. The film stars Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar in the lead roles, with popular model Sona playing an important character.
The film’s trailer launch was held in Chennai in the presence of the cast, crew, media and several celebrities. The movie is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on August 28, 2026.
Director Vignesh Srikanth
Vignesh Srikanth said that he had been waiting for this day for a long time and described the release as the happiest phase of his journey.
He dedicated Once More to filmmaker Mani Ratnam, saying that watching Mani Ratnam’s films inspired him to become a director and that this film is his “love letter” to the filmmaker.
He revealed that Arjun Das was the only actor he had in mind while writing the character of Raghu. According to him, Arjun Das completely lived the role and delivered an even better performance than he had imagined.
The director also thanked Aditi Shankar, Sona, music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, editor, art director and his assistant directors.
Arjun Das
Arjun Das revealed that when Vignesh first narrated the one-line story, he immediately liked it. Although several production companies suggested casting another hero, Vignesh firmly insisted that Arjun Das was the only person who could play Raghu.
Arjun thanked the director for believing in him completely.
He also praised Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music and said the composer had created excellent songs for the film. Speaking about Sona, he said she had delivered a wonderful performance and had also become a close friend.
Arjun described Once More as a genuine drama about beautiful love and said the film was very close to his heart.
Aditi Shankar
Aditi Shankar thanked producer Yuvraj Ganesan for bringing the film to the screen and introducing a talented filmmaker like Vignesh Srikanth.
She revealed that the film came to her during a difficult period in her life and that coming to the sets and playing her character every day gave her happiness and emotional strength.
Aditi also praised Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music and said she particularly loved the song created for her.
Speaking about Arjun Das, she recalled meeting him as a fan at an Anirudh concert and taking a photograph with him. She said she was now very happy to have acted alongside him and described him as a close friend.
She also encouraged audiences to enjoy seeing Arjun Das in a different avatar as a lover boy.
Producer Yuvraj Ganesan
Producer Yuvraj Ganesan said he and Vignesh Srikanth had been waiting for the film’s release for a long time. Several release dates had previously been planned but could not materialise.
He said the director had approached every scene with the desire to do something different and that the film would serve as an important introduction to Vignesh’s talent.
Yuvraj also praised Hesham Abdul Wahab, saying that the composer had delivered music that exceeded their expectations.
He highlighted the dedication of Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar, saying both actors had given the project tremendous support.
Hesham Abdul Wahab
Hesham Abdul Wahab, who became popular across India through his music, is making his Tamil debut as a music composer with Once More.
He said that after Hridayam, Once More was one of the Tamil films he most enjoyed working on. He described it as a beautiful and relatable story and expressed confidence that the songs would continue to be enjoyed by audiences for years.
Sona
Sona said the film was extremely important to her and thanked Vignesh Srikanth and Yuvraj Ganesan for giving her the significant role of Indira.
She praised Arjun Das for supporting her and Aditi Shankar for becoming a close friend from the first day of shooting.
She said she was eagerly waiting for August 28 and hoped audiences would enjoy the film.

Once More is produced by Yuvraj Ganesan under Million Dollar Studios. Aravind Viswanathan has handled cinematography, while Rajkamal is the art director and Nava Rajkumar is the costume designer.
