Produced by World Wide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainment, and directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film ‘Pallischattambi’ stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead. Vijayaraghavan, Babu Raj, Alexander Prasanth, Sudheer Karamana, T.G. Ravi, John Antony and many others appear in important roles.
The film has cinematography by Dijo Tomy and music composed by Jakes Bejoy. Set in the backdrop of 1957, this commercial entertainer is produced by Noufal, Brijesh, Chanukya, Chaitanya, and Charan under the banners of World Wide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainment. The film will be released across Tamil Nadu by Chakra Pictures.
The promotional event for the Tamil version of ‘Pallischattambi’, which is set for a worldwide release on April 10, was held at Prasad Lab in Chennai. The film’s team participated in the event and shared various details about the movie.
Speaking at the event, co-producer Megha Shyam said, “I have been working in the film industry for 14 years. This is the first time I am on stage as a co-producer, and it is an unforgettable moment for me. I appreciate my brothers Chanukya, Chaitanya, and Charan. I also congratulate the entire film team. I won’t speak much about the film. It is an emotional action entertainer. We are releasing it worldwide. Tovino Thomas and Kayadu Lohar have given excellent performances. The director has worked with great dedication. I request everyone to watch and support the film in theatres.”
Chakra Pictures representative Vetri said, “This is our first film. The movie is excellent and content-driven. It releases on April 10. Please support it.”
Producer Charan said, “This is the first film for our company. We three brothers have produced it together. We began shooting on February 19 last year and are now releasing it. Through this film, we have recreated an incident from 1950s Kerala. We are proud to have produced such a film as our first project.”
Actress Kayadu Lohar said, “This is my third Malayalam film. After a long gap, I am acting again in Malayalam through this film. My character is unique and very close to my heart. I thank the director and producers for giving me this opportunity. I had a lot of scope to perform. I am confident that the audience will like this film. We have all worked hard as a team and made it a family entertainer. Tovino Thomas is a talented co-actor, and I thank him as well.”
Actor Tovino Thomas said, “We started discussing this story in 2018. After long discussions, the screenplay was refined, and only then did we begin shooting in 2025. Both the director and I were busy with other projects, so we completed those first, which caused some delay. The writer Suresh Babu enriched the screenplay. The current version of the story is much better than what I first heard.
The shooting lasted over 100 days. Every day, we worked with hundreds of actors. This is not easy—it requires hard work and planning. This is a period film set in 1957–58, and it reflects the socio-political structure of Kerala during that time.
This is not a true story, but it is inspired by certain events and includes many fictional characters. The producers have already watched the film and are very confident about it. I am eagerly waiting to watch the film with audiences in theatres. I want to experience how the audience celebrates the film along with them.
I cannot judge a film by watching an incomplete version. I prefer watching the complete film in theatres with the audience. That is why I am also eagerly waiting for this film. The teaser and songs have received a great response, and I believe the film will also be well received by the audience. This film will not disappoint.”
