The popular word ‘Pooki’, which is used to call loved ones through social media including TikTok, has spread like wildfire among lovers and has emerged as a powerful word to express love for each other. One such Pooki love couple, hero Ajay Dhishan and heroine R.K. Dhanusha, get separated due to a minor ideological conflict between them.
Even though the lovers break up, they are unable to accept the separation. Both of them make various efforts to escape the anguish of their love separation. But, when it ends in failure, they come to the mindset that the cure for the pain of separation is another love. Accordingly, both of them travel towards different loves, and whether that love story put an end to their pain of separation or not?, is what the youngster asks in a playful way.
Director Ganesh Chandra has vividly told the life of the youth of the time facing separation and the present, and has tried to emphatically record that the feeling of love does not change in any period.
Ajay Dishan, who plays the hero, impresses with his vibrant performance. He does justice to his character by expressing many emotions throughout the film, such as the struggle to face the pain of separation, traveling to other places to get rid of it and being affected by it. He acts with restraint in many emotional scenes and attracts attention. In particular, the scene where the girlfriend’s father speaks disparagingly about his father, and the scene where the father’s dream is fulfilled and the joy on his face can be mentioned. His voice is also majestic. He has proven to be an actor who fits perfectly into all roles.
R.K. Dhanusha, who plays the heroine, captivates with her simple beauty. She is as good at acting as a hero as she is at dancing. She acts very boldly in tense scenes and makes you wonder who this girl is.
Pandiarajan, Sunil, Lakshmi Manju, Indumathi Manikandan, Aditya Kathir, Vivek Prasanna, Black Pandi, Bigg Boss Sathya, M.J. Sriram, Radha, Ashwin Ram, Shiyara Sharma, and Priyanka have done their job flawlessly.
Vijay Antony, who has taken care of the editing work along with the music, could have paid more attention to both. It is clear that Vijay Antony has forgotten how important the songs are for a story that squeezes out the feelings of love and composed the music. Vijay Antony, who as the editor moves the first half of the film with various confusions, clearly tells the second half and makes the audience connect with the story.
Although the story, screenplay and dialogue of the new Parithi tell the pain of love breakup in a funny way, in the end they tell the depth of the pain of love in a way that the audience can feel. Although the writing of the new Parithi is in a way that the youth of today can relate to whether the medicine for the pain of love failure is another pain or love, the lack of innovation in the scenes makes the film weak.
Ganesh Chandra, who has done the cinematography, has tried to tell the story of love breakup against the backdrop of the world of modern youth, not as a love story. Although the pace he has adopted for this purpose keeps the film moving without a hitch, the film is not greatly affected by other stale scenes and uninteresting twists.
