A terrorist group that wants to create a gun culture in Tamil Nadu is trying to implement a plan to distribute weapons on a large scale. The National Investigation Agency led by Biju Menon is involved in an attempt to stop this. Meanwhile, Biju Menon decides to foil the terrorist group’s plan by using Sivakarthikeyan, who is going around saying that he is going to commit suicide due to the sadness of his girlfriend leaving him.
In this situation, Biju Menon comes to know that Sivakarthikeyan is mentally ill and has been undergoing treatment for it for about 15 years. Did the terrorist group’s plan get foiled through Sivakarthikeyan as he thought? , Why was he mentally ill? Why did his girlfriend leave him? ‘Madraasi’ answers these questions in the action genre.
The mass action avatar that Sivakarthikeyan had not been able to get his hands on for a long time has come in handy in this film. Manushan has been intimidating in the action scenes. Especially the fight scene in the gas factory and the action scene with the villain in the climax are intimidating. He is amazing not only in the action scenes but also in the sentimental scenes. He leaves the audience in awe in the scene where he acts like his mother is calling.
Although Rukmani Vasanth, who plays the heroine, initially deviates from the script, in the second half of the film, she travels with the script to the point that if she is not there, the film is not there, and captivates the audience.
After the film Thuppaki, Vidyut Jamal has once again taken on the role of a super villain, saying, “Anyone can have a gun, but I am the villain” and has made the action scene like a Hollywood actor.
Sabir Kallarakkal, who plays another villain, Biju Menon, who plays a National Investigation Agency officer, and Vikrant have traveled in a way that will leave an impression on the audience.
Music composer Anirudh, in the title card of the film, makes the audience sit up straight with his background music and increases the excitement of the scenes with his beegium. The songs that are already humming along with the scenes give a new experience when watched.
Cinematographer Sudeep Elamon has shot the entire film magnificently. Sudeep Elamon, who amazes the audience with the speed and frames of the action scenes, has shot the entire film in Hollywood standards.
Editor Sreekar Prasad, despite the length of more than two and a half hours, has neatly edited all the scenes to make them enjoyable. The film’s opening scene, the container chasing, and then the hero’s introduction, his love, and mental health problems, have edited the action scenes in a way that adds extra specialness to the film.
Director A.R. Murugadoss has proven himself once again by speaking about a huge social issue with a gun, and through it, he has given the audience an action commercial feast. His warning that such a problem should not come to Tamil Nadu in the future, and the screenplay centered on it, move the entire film without hesitation.
The director, who has handled Sivakarthikeyan as an action mass hero very well, has given a film that can be enjoyed by all sections of the audience by combining his favorite love and emotions in the right proportion. Director A.R. Murugadoss, who has especially designed the villain character in a very strong way, makes lovers celebrate the film by superficially saying that love can make an ordinary person into a hero who goes on adventures.
