Produced by Jayanthi Ambedkumar under Olympia Movies, presented by S. Ambedkumar, directed by Nelson Venkatesan, starring Atharvaa Murali and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles, ‘DNA’, which was released on the 20th through Red Giant Movies, is on its way to a huge success with the unanimous support of critics and fans.
Following this, the crew organized a thanksgiving ceremony in Chennai to thank the media and fans who made the film a success. The crew participated in this event.
Speaking at the event, film editor Sabu Joseph said, ”We have worked hard for this moment for the last one and a half years. I have worked as the film editor for all the four films released under the direction of Director Nelson Venkatesan. While working on previous films, the director kept telling me to deliver a work that would be commercially successful. His dream has come true with this DNA film. Cinematographer Parthiban said, ” I have been following Director Nelson since his film ‘Oru Naal Koothu’ and got the opportunity to work together during the shooting of his film ‘Fargana’. Then a good understanding and friendship developed between us. After that, he gave me the opportunity for the film ‘DNA’ and I think I have used the opportunity he gave me correctly.

All the things mentioned in this story are true. The experience of working in the field of journalism for the last fifteen years helped me in writing this story. My guru has said that ‘If there is more truth in fiction… that fiction will succeed’. In that sense, this story is 90 percent true. Only ten percent is fantasy.
The grandmother in this film was played by Sathur Jayalakshmi. I wrote this character based on a woman I met in my life. The character design of the film is based on real events such as Egmore Government Children’s Hospital – Gosha Hospital – Auto Shankar’s death certificate. I believe that such close-to-true facts are the reason for the success of the film. For this, I request the directors to use writers and experienced journalists.
Director Nelson was the one who found me and invited me to write.
Atharva and Nimisha expressed many scenes that I felt close to my heart and wrote on screen with wonderful performances. I thank them for this too.
From the first scene to the last scene of this film, we have designed the scenes in such a way that one character helps another character. When this helping attitude becomes commercial..! There, a crime occurs.

The story between Anand and Divya has been with me since 2009. Anand and Divya have different names. But I have met these characters in my life. I have recorded their pain in this. The question that arose in my mind, will marriage happen in their lives? was the question that prompted me to write the story of this film.
