Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Karunakaran is at the top of the list of corrupt ministers and also at the top of the list of receiving huge funds for the party. Therefore, the Chief Minister, who does not notice any mistake he makes, entrusts the responsibility of giving money to the people for their votes to Karunakaran. Accordingly, Karunakaran, who plans to distribute money to the people through technology, deposits Rs. 60 thousand crores in a foreign bank for this and obtains a device from the bank to distribute the money immediately.

On the other hand, like the character Das in the first part, Mirchi Siva, who is engaged in smuggling with an imaginary woman, is forced to kidnap Karunakaran, who is a minister. When he goes to give the money in the bank to the Chief Minister, Mirchi Siva kidnaps Karunakaran. As a result, not only in politics, but also in Karunakaran’s life changes drastically. What is that change? ‘Soodhu Kavvum 2’ tells us in the same style as the first part.

What Vijay Sethupathi did as Das in the first part, Mirchi Siva has done the same in this part through the character Gurunath. Since it seems like snakes are in front of the eyes when the alcohol intoxication comes down, Mirchi Siva, who has humorously handled the character who is always intoxicated, makes it funny in some places, but in many places he has made it his mission to teach a lesson about how to drink alcohol.

Karunakaran, who plays the central character of the story, Arumai Prakasam, has performed well in this second part as in the first part and has carried the entire film on his shoulders. Although Mirchi Siva is the hero, Karunakaran is the first to attract the attention of the audience by sidelining him in the film.

Karunakaran, who was a minister in the first part, is the one who makes the change in Tamil Nadu politics when he is still a child in this second part. The political events that follow, and the political conflicts of Radha Ravi, Vaagai Chandrasekhar, and M.S. Bhaskar have added strength to the film.

The other actors who have played other roles such as Aruldas, Kalki, Kavi, Yog JP, Karate Karthi, and Harisha Justin, who plays the imaginary woman, have done their job properly.

The songs by composer Edwin Louis Vishwanath and the background music by Hari SR have traveled according to the story.

Cinematographer Karthik K. Thillai, since it is a sequel to the first part, has shot the entire film keeping the plot and characters in mind.

Editor Ignatius Ashwin has worked hard on the screen.

The second part of a hugely successful film, written by director S.J. Arjun, is a continuation of its previous story, and the political events are interesting. However, the film is a bit weak because Mirchi Siva’s character travels like a copy of the character from the first part and does not fit the story in many places. However, director S.J. Arjun, who hides the weaknesses in many places through Karunakaran’s character and moves the film as a comedy, receives applause with comedy scenes with excitement and twists in the second half and makes the film enjoyable.
