Nandhan Movie Review

At a time when films are being released that talk about caste atrocities and the solution to get rid of them is economic progress or the seizure of government power, it is the first time that ‘Nandan’ has tried to tell the truth that even if such government power is seized, their plight has not changed.

Actor Sasikumar has changed his usual style and taken a new avatar by giving great support to the director I. Saravanan, who has directed the film with the aim of making the outside world aware of the caste discrimination in the panchayat councils and some of the bitter truths that happened to the Adhikudi panchayat leaders.

Ambedkumar alias Koolpanai, who has lived as a dirty laborer, after becoming the head of the panchayat council, with the intention of doing that job effectively, the sadness that befalls him when he goes to the panchayat council office is heartbreaking.

Shruti Periyaswamy, who is playing the heroine, has played the role by realizing it. Balaji Sakthivel, who plays the negative character, brings the perversity of casteism to the screen with his performance and instills fear in the audience.

Durai Sudhakar, who plays the role of a real estate businessman, is amazing in his acting as a counter to Balaji Shaktivel.

Samuthirakani, Stalin, V. Gnanavelu, GM Kumar, Sidthan Mohan, Sakthi Saravanan who have acted in other roles have realized the character and played it.

Cinematographer RV Saravanan’s camera perfectly captures not only the beauty of the village but also the emotions of the characters.

Although the songs and background music in Gibran’s music travel with the story, it’s disappointing that it’s not as good as expected.

For the first time, director Ira Saravanan has tried to bring the plight of the tribal system established to end the slavery of the tribals to give them the power to rule.

I thought we needed government power to rule here, but we need government power to live, we must appreciate the director Ira Saravanan who has voiced the anguish of the affected people.

At the same time, director I. Saravanan, who has said that Ambedkumar can win in the cinema, even if he is given power, his position will not change, even if he did not solve such a problem as a creator, it is okay, he might not have created distrust in people’s minds.
