The story revolves around Sethupathi’s character, Maharaja, who finds himself at the center of a mystery after his home is burglarized. Desperate to recover his stolen “Lakshmi,” he embarks on a quest that leads him down a path of danger and intrigue.
The trailer opens with Sethupathi’s haunting portrayal of Maharaja, sitting at a police station and recounting the loss of his Lakshmi. The ambiguous nature of his plea leaves the authorities uncertain whether he is referring to a person or an object, adding an element of mystery to the narrative.
As the story unfolds, glimpses of Anurag Kashyap’s character, a cold-blooded dacoit, add another layer of tension to the plot. Kashyap’s menacing presence and commanding performance promise to elevate the intensity of the film, as Maharaja’s pursuit of justice brings him face to face with formidable adversaries.
Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, “Maharaja” boasts a talented ensemble cast including Mamta Mohandas, Abhirami, Bharathiraja, and Munshikanth, each contributing to the rich tapestry of characters that populate the film’s world.
