Assistant director Nayagan Sachin gets a chance to direct the film. Accordingly, a man working on a horror story into a movie moves into a new rented house. After moving to the house in the apartment, he is sleep deprived and depressed due to nightmares and some paranormal happenings. Even after telling the doctor about his condition and getting treatment, Sachin’s every day is horrible. Even if he goes out of that house, he comes back into it without knowing himself. As a result, Sachin, who tries to find out about the house, comes to know many shocking facts. What are the facts? Did Sachin escape from that house? Isn’t it? It is a ‘daemon’ to say that.

Sachin, who is playing the hero, has shown all the emotions like love, fear and anger very elegantly and has added strength to his character. Even though it is a horror film, he is appreciated for doing a very good job of conveying fear to the audience only through his emotions.

Aparnathy’s role as the female lead is imposed and does not support the film in any way. So, his role is nothing to talk about.

People who play the hero’s friends are used only for the plot. Especially Kumki Ashwin trying to make the fans laugh even in a serious place in the name of doing comedy is cruel. The role of producer R. Somasundra, who is playing the role of an experienced co-director, is unknown.

Even though the movie has many characters like the Jain family members who live in the apartment, the hero’s father, the house renter, the whole story revolves around the hero. He also carries the film on his shoulders as much as he can.

After the protagonist, it is cinematographer RS Ananthakumar who gets the attention of the film. He has enjoyed every angle of the film and created a feast for the fans. He has filmed horror scenes and paranormal events inside the house in a scary way, the scene where the hero and heroine meet, the scene where friends gather, the way the apartment is shown, is seen in all the scenes.
Composer Roni Raphael has songs and background score. The calm handling of the background music without too much noise adds to the vivid scenes.

Director Ramesh Palanivel, who has written the film based on the incident of 11 members of the same family committing suicide in a house in Delhi, has handled the film in a slightly different way than the usual horror films. In particular, he has tried to say that ghosts and paranormal events can cause psychological damage without affecting a person directly. But, on his way to say it, he has encountered a huge setback.

Director Ramesh Palanivel has tried to convey the point he wanted to make without stressing it, but with commercial themes such as love, film direction and related characters. But all of them are stuffy in the screenplay and make the film sag.

However, the manner in which Naayan has shaped the character and the way he has acted, the background to the deaths of members of the same family makes the film enjoyable.

Overall, ‘Demon’ is an attempt to give an old thing a new twist.
