Siddharth lovingly brings up his deceased nephew’s daughter Sahashra Sri. Siddharth, who brings up Sahashra Sri with affection and protection so that he does not feel longing for the absence of a father, falls in love with Nimisha Sajayan. Meanwhile, Sahashra Sri suddenly disappears. On one side Siddharth and his friends are searching, on the other the police are searching. However, the girl could not be found.
Nimisha Sajayan, Siddharth in Chithha Movie Review
In this situation, a missing 12-year-old girl is found burnt and murdered. But it turns out that the dead body is not Siddharth’s daughter. What happened to Siddharth’s missing daughter?, Did Siddharth find her? Isn’t it? That is the rest of the story of the film.

Siddharth has played the hero of the story rather than the protagonist. Although we have seen Siddharth in many films, who was seen in ‘Boys’, he looks completely new in this film. For the first time, Siddharth, who is seen as a rich houseboy despite wearing a dirty shirt, has been cast as an actor for the role. Siddharth, who plays the role of Ishwaran not only in appearance but also in acting, has added strength through his emotional performance in all the scenes like stumbling without knowing what happened when the blame falls on him, becoming unstable due to the disappearance of his daughter, and rushing to kill those responsible for the cruelty that happened to his daughter.

Nimisha Sajayan, who plays Siddharth’s girlfriend, has acted very naturally. Although he does not speak aggressively about the sexual harassment against women, his dialogues have a great impact on the audience.

Although Siddharth is the hero in some places, the girls Sahashra Sri and S.Apiya Dashneem attract attention. The natural acting of these girls adds tremendous strength to the script. Moreover, the problems faced by Sahashra Sri who plays the role of Siddharth’s brother’s daughter after she goes missing, and her performance in it will not leave our minds even after the film is over and will keep us awake for at least two days in our brains.

Sahashra Sri who dazzles us with her amazing performance in all the scenes including the scene where the unconscious child screams after hearing the word ‘snake’ and asks God to send her Siddha to save her, deserves not only the National Award but also the Oscar Award.

The actors who play Siddharth’s friends, Anjali Nair who plays the sister-in-law, the actor who plays the villain, the female police officer who play other roles all add strength to the story.

Cinematographer Balaji Subramaniam, who has shot Palani with its aesthetics, has made the stars crawl as characters in the story and has conveyed their emotions to the audience in a very elegant manner.

Music composer Dibu Ninan Thomas’s songs are all melodious and suit the storyline. Vishal Chandrasekhar’s background music travels well without distorting the tension of the screenplay. The fact that the composer has traveled to many places understanding that silence is strength has given the film additional strength.

Cinematographer Suresh A. Prasad has compiled the scenes to hold our attention for two hours. Although the screenplay’s strength is the emotional performance of the characters, the screenplay keeps us on the edge of our seats by giving us a fast-paced experience.

While films about father-daughter affection are being released more and more, director S.U.Arunkumar has directed this film with an exciting yet heart-wrenching screenplay and visuals, combining the story of the father-daughter relationship with sexual crimes against children and its background.

The plot, the choice of characters and the manner in which they have acted have added tremendous strength to the film and the screenplay travels very strongly without getting boring at any point.

The director has naturally told how the girl’s family copes with the disappearance of the girl and the way the police handle it is very bold. Moreover, all the scenes that the police inspector normally passes by for 24 hours are shocking.

Although the director S.U.Arunkumar has told the story he took without any compromise and at the same time without any kind of charm, he has also done some logical violations for the sake of cinema. In particular, the fact that some scenes were framed in such a way as to disprove the statistic and thesis that sexual crimes against children are mostly committed by one’s own relatives is unacceptable. Similarly, it is cinematic to say that most of the women in the film, like the two girls and Siddharth’s girlfriend, have been victims of sexual abuse, and it is like saying that if the women were alone, someone would definitely sexually assault them.

Although director S.U.Arunkumar has succeeded in giving the story that he has taken as a realistic life rather than a cinematic one, and has told it vividly and close to the hearts of the fans, at some places, “Is this necessary?” He has raised the question in the minds of the fans.
