The hero Upendra, the son of a freedom fighter and an Indian Air Force pilot, takes to the field to avenge his brother’s brutal murder. But time turns him into a worldly grandfather who looks upon India as a threat. Why did he change like that? What happened behind it? What did the Indian government do to suppress him? The story of ‘Kabja’ tells the answer to such questions with great action scenes.

Upendra Argeshwaran is seen as an action hero. Even at this age, he has a toned body and has done justice to all the action scenes in the film. However, he has also acted with Rajini’s body language in some places.

Shreya, who plays the heroine, has entered the field after a long gap. A song that draws attention to dance, has also acted flawlessly.

There are many villainous characters in the film. They all live up to the build-ups in the story and are menacing.

Kichha Sudeep and Shivrajkumar’s special appearance scenes are getting applause.

Cinematographer AJ Shetty has put a lot of effort into making the scenes grand. He has shot the scenes so well that you don’t know which is the set and which is the graphics.

Music director Ravi Basrur has used the same style as he used for ‘KGF’ in this film so the background score is not too attention grabbing. The song “Nataraja…” alone makes me listen again and again.

Editor S. Reddy has tried to hide the flaws in the film as much as possible. But beyond that, some scenes are confusing and boring.

Director R. Chanduru, who has written and directed, had said that he wrote and directed such a film because of the impact of the film ‘KGF’. But all the scenes of the film and the way it was framed prove that the influence of KGF is in his every vein.

Director Chanduru has many characters in the film, who are they? It seems that a separate film should be made to make people understand that. He has confused the cast with so many actors.

Although it is natural that the impact of one film paves the way for many films to follow, it is the genius of the director to design the screenplay and scenes so that the impact of that film is not known. But director Chanduru has directed this film as a fan rather than as a director.

Technically, the way the scenes are designed and presented in a grand manner, the film is entertaining as well as creating anticipation from scene to scene.

If more attention had been paid to the story and screenplay as much as the importance given to the film technically, ‘Kabja’ would have been another Kannada film that made India look back.

All in all, watch ‘Kabja’ once for the grandeur and action sequences.
