The gangs who have commercialized education plan to prevent government school students from getting quality education in order to grow their education business. But unexpectedly, through Dhanush, an assistant teacher working in the same private school, government school students get quality education. Samuthirakani, the head of the private schools’ associations, is angry about this. Dhanush continues to prevent students from getting quality education. Did Vathiyaar Dhanush succeed in tearing down the veil of private schools by providing quality education to students despite his opposition? Isn’t it? That is the story of the movie ‘Vaathi’.
Dhanush, who fits perfectly into any role, as usual is amazing as a young actor. Even though he has proved himself in all areas like fighting for the education of poor students, teaching parents how important education is, advising students who see caste division, fighting against the dangers that come to students from time to time, talking about his love with a fellow teacher in a civilized manner, Dhanush’s monstrous performance is enough food for the appetite. It cannot be denied.
Samyukta, who plays the heroine, has a few scenes as a government school teacher and Dhanush’s girlfriend.
Samuthirakani, who has a template for playing a good guy and a template for playing a villain, has used the villain template perfectly.
Sai Kumar, Thanigalapharani, Bharathiraja in a special appearance, Shara, Naren, Harish Peradi, Mottai Rajendran and other actors in the film have done their job flawlessly.
Even though J. Yuvaraj’s cinematography has traveled according to the story, the scenes have been shot in a way that makes it clear that all the fields where the story takes place are artificial arenas. Moreover, I don’t know why Dhanush, who plays the role of a teacher, was shown as young as a student.
Music by GV Prakash Kumar, all the songs are listenable. The background music goes along with the story.
How did education come into private hands, and how did they turn it into a big business? Director Venki Atthuri who has described such things very clearly, has also shown the way how to provide quality education to poor students.
Although the film is appreciated as the story of Kawli is a very necessary thing for the society, the way it is told in the language of cinema, the director Venky Atthuri has praised it. Especially with a hero like Dhanush talking throughout the film is boring.
Although the film has many flaws, the way it tells the story of how to provide quality education to poor students while traveling with people who have the principle that people without money do not have quality education is commendable.
All in all, though ‘Vaathi’ is not a film for Dhanush fans, it is definitely a must read for students and parents alike.
