While the trailer for the ‘Spiral’ web series tells us what kind of storyline it is, the anticipation and excitement that begins with the first part moves on to the next part without knowing where the time will go.
Parthiban’s youngest daughter, who is the union leader of the cement factory, suddenly disappears in an attempt to find him. Then his eldest daughter Aishwarya Rajesh goes down to the field in an attempt to find her sister, to be arrested by the police in connection with the factory fire.Meanwhile, police officers Shreya Reddy and Kadir, who are gathering strong evidence against Parthiban, are getting some shocking evidence regarding the disappearance of her daughter. Through that source it is revealed that she has not been abducted, and the story of the spiral web series is interestingly told with many knots of events that take place after that.
Although the trailer of the spiral web series makes us understand its storyline, the anticipation and excitement that begins in the first part of the series is the biggest strength that travels to the final part. In particular, the story travels in a different direction without us guessing at each episode, making us watch a total of 8 episodes without knowing the passage of time.
Parthiban, who has acted as a father to two daughters, has acted very naturally. Especially since his usual acting and verse are omitted and the acting is new and admirable.
Shrey Reddy, who plays a police inspector, fits the character and scores in the acting. The performance of Shreya Reddy, who has destroyed the identity of Arrogance through this series, gets extra attention.
Kadir, who plays a sub-inspector, carries the entire story on his shoulders. His character throughout the series and the way he has acted accordingly have added strength to the series.
Aishwarya Rajesh has also been used as a character as it is a women centered story. In some places his character seems noticeable but in some places seems to be imposed. His character, however, scores the most in the overall series by emphasizing the problems women face through the climax and therefore their suffering.
Other actors in the series like Harih Uthman, Kumaravel and Santhana Bharathi have done the job flawlessly.Sam CS has once again proved that he is always at the forefront of background music. His background music has increased the pace and vibrancy of the story.
Mukeshwaran’s cinematography is great. The beauty of the mountains, the night time scenes and the way the burial festival scenes were filmed and the lighting used for it all draw attention.
Looking at the total of 8 series is about 5 hours. However, cinematographer Richard Kevin has compiled the scenes so accurately that it is not known how those 5 hours went.
Although Chandan Kumar’s story is very simple, the screenplay and scenes by directors Brahma.G and Anusharan are interesting. The story travels with a new twist that makes us shudder when we think that this is what would have happened.
While the web series is strong enough to say many things very clearly as there is a lot of opportunity to tell all the details in detail, the passages that tell the love story are fast-paced for some screenplays. However, the directors have designed the scenes in such a way as to create anticipation of what might have happened even in that love story.
