Lal, a famous lawyer and social activist from Thoothukudi district, is shot dead at his beach house. Sub-Inspector Kathir, who is the chief investigating officer of the murder case, starts the investigation along with Police Station Inspector Saravanan. At that time, Gauri Kishan is inside a locked wooden cupboard outside the house where Lal was murdered, with a gun in his hand. Despite arresting and interrogating him, the police team led by Kathir and Saravanan are confused as to how he could have escaped after killing the lawyer and hiding in a closet.
In this situation, 7 young women surrender at different police stations in the district for killing the lawyer Lal, and they all tell the same story about the murder. Although a total of 8 women, including Gauri Kishan, surrender in a murder case, the fact that all of them have no connection with each other and no information about their backgrounds is available causes a big headache for the police. However, Kathir, who is serious about finding out the real background of this murder and who the murderer is, tells how he finds it in an interesting and grand way in ‘Suzhal 2’.

In the first part, Aishwarya Rajesh, who kills her stepfather who sexually assaulted her, is serving a sentence in prison in this part, but it is the prison that keeps her character moving with the story, the unexpected turn of Saravanan who comes to life as a police inspector, the different perspectives on the murdered lawyer Lal and the twists and turns that travel with it, the 8 young women who surrender in a murder case along with Lal’s son, wife, and car driver, and Saroja who is a prisoner in prison. All the characters in the series, including the actors and actresses who play them, have moved vividly to the screenplay.
Although the story and screenplay of Pushkar and Gayathri travel with many twists and turns, the social problem discussed in the series is very strongly imprinted in the minds of the audience. In particular, the character designs are the biggest strength of the series. The character designs of Manjuma Mohan and her loving husband Kayal Chandran have very neatly recorded that ordinary workers are also behind the mistakes happening in the country.
Cinematographer Abraham Joseph has shown the expenses incurred by the producer on a large scale on screen.
