Mayyal Movie Audio Launch

‘Mayyal’ is a film produced by Icon Cine Creations LLP and directed by APG Ezhumalai and starring Sethu and Samrithi. The audio and trailer launch of the film was held.

Director R.K. Selvamani, “On behalf of Tamil Nadu film directors, we congratulate director Ezhumalai. He has made this film as a new endeavor. Watching the song sequences was like watching old Bharathiraja films. This film has been shot with great skill. The heroine is as beautiful as our housewife. The hero also definitely has a great future. The best technicians create the best courses. It is difficult to create. It is easy to break it. If people with bad intentions come to the administration, everything is over. It is easy to incite others. Only if the contradictions are resolved, the work will go smoothly. If problems arise in the association and they are not resolved, and if they keep starting associations one after another, there will be no problems until the end. This is a warning bell. It can be diverted in any way. The technicians of this film have brought this film to life. Congratulations on the success of the film!”.

Producer Dhananjayan said, “It is special that the director has made everyone who has come here know what the title ‘Mayal’ means. When you look at the song and the poster, it is like ‘Paruthiveeran’ Karthi and Priyamani. I am confident that it will be a good film with an action mode. There should be many more good films like this. I wish this film a big success like ‘Tourist Family’”.

Producer Anupama Vikram Singh said, “On behalf of the ‘Mayal’ team, I welcome everyone. There is soul in this story. I am happy to introduce this film to all of you. Congratulations to the team too.”

Director K.S. Ravikumar, “I am happy that Thenappan has worked in this. The strength of the film is the technicians. Without Samantha and without Nayanthara, I thought, what new name is this for the heroine. Congratulations to Amar for a great future! When it comes to a village film, the music should be live. He has brought it right. Congratulations to the songs and the film for success”.

Lyricist Ekathisi, “The film has come out well. Amar is a great composer. The third song is mine. Working with him was an unforgettable experience. Congratulations to everyone”.

Director R.V. Udayakumar, “The director has beautifully crafted every frame of the film. If there is no ‘Maiyal’, there is no humanity. If a man does not love a woman and a woman does not love a man, there is no reproduction. There is no doubt that this ‘Maiyal’ is going to be a huge success for humanity. If the producer is not ready to take risks, Rajini or Kamal would not have emerged. The film industry will be good only if the producer does what he does correctly. K.S. Ravikumar is my favorite director. He should embrace everyone and take them to the next level. K.S. Ravikumar is sitting at the function of the son of the music composer he introduced. It is a proud moment for him. Congratulations to everyone who worked on the film!”.

Master Kanal Kannan, “I have already seen the film. It has come out beautifully. I am happy to have come to the film where Amar has composed the music. The hero and heroine have acted well. My best wishes for the film to be a huge success.”

Producer P.L. Thenappan, “Thank you to all the hearts that congratulated. The director is very confident. The film will definitely be a success. As Selvamani said, you cannot break the FEPCI”.

Lyricist Viveka said, “This film has been made with deep thought. I have worked with K.S. Ravikumar sir on many films. It is a great thing that he came and congratulated me for this film. The hero of the film often talks to me about books. It is a healthy thing for an actor to talk about books. Amar has given beautiful songs. Everyone has worked well in the film. I wish ‘Mayyal’ to steal everyone’s hearts.”

Director Perarasu said, “The festival is being held under the leadership of Ravikumar sir. His era is a golden era in cinema. Because he is more concerned than the producer. We fixed the release date for ‘Thirupathi’ as April and worked on it. It was because ‘Mayal’ was for everyone that MGR, Jayalalithaa, and Kalaignar all succeeded in cinema and politics. Mayal can be described in many ways. FEPCI is an organization that cares about the welfare of workers. When you start something against it, do you start it for the workers? No, you start it with the intention of destroying FEPCI. That is the wrong intention. Let’s come to the movie ‘Mayal’. In the movie ‘Mynaa’, the hero may be Vidharth. But Sethu is the next hero there. He has got a good pair in this movie. Like Amala Paul, he has got a good heroine in this movie. The story has also come out well. Congratulations on the movie.”

Director Ezhumalai said, “Sethu is the reason for the creation of this ‘Maiyaal’. All the credit goes to my hero Sethu. Thanks to my producers too. Congratulations to all the pioneering directors who have come to congratulate me from the Directors’ Association. Soundaryayan’s son Amar has composed beautiful music for this film. Thanks to the crew who have worked tirelessly for the film. We need all your support.”

Retro Movie Review

Casting : Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Vidhu, Karunakaran

Directed By : Karthik Subbaraj

Music By : Santhosh Narayanan

Produced By : 2D Entertainment & Stone Bench – Jyotika – Suriya

Suriya, who is raised by Joju George, who commits illegal acts, wants to live a peaceful life without a mother or father, leaving behind his girlfriend Pooja Hegde. But the man who chopped off his adoptive father’s hand for the same girlfriend also kills his men. As a result, Pooja Hegde moves away from him, and Suriya is sentenced to prison.

Suriya learns that Pooja Hegde is in the Andamans. Suriya, who goes to the Andamans to start a new life without violence and peace, as he wanted, faces a huge responsibility and a war. So, what will become of Suriya’s life?, is told in a mass and classy way.

Suriya has given many faces to the same character through his acting, from being a brave son who would do anything for his adoptive father, to becoming a monster after failing in love, and then a fighter who fights for the liberation of a race. Suriya, who carries the entire film on his shoulders, makes the audience enjoy scene after scene by dancing without smiling and handling action scenes stylishly.

Pooja Hegde, who plays the heroine, has traveled like a regular heroine without any uniqueness in the screenplay, even though she is the center of the story and the theme that moves the story. However, she has done the job given to her to the fullest.

Joju George, who plays the villain, has intimidated with his natural acting. The actor who plays King Michael, Nasser, Prakashraj, Karunakaran, who has played other roles, have done the job given to them flawlessly.

Although the songs composed by composer Santhosh Narayanan are already a huge hit, they are even more special when viewed with the visuals. The background music and the beats take the audience to the retro era.

Cinematographer Shreyas Krishna’s camera has beautifully portrayed all the actors and actresses, including Surya and Pooja Hegde, as retro era people, and the action scenes have been presented in a very stylish manner.

Although the film travels with two stories and another sub-story, editor Shafiq Mohammed Ali has neatly put together the scenes so that the audience can understand the film without any confusion.

Director Karthik Subbaraj, who has set the world of the retro era before our eyes, has given the audience a new experience by making the mass action film of that era in the present era.

On the one hand, the sentiment of Amma, cult fight scenes, and different action scenes entertain the audience. On the other hand, Suriya has handled all of this very well, entertaining the audience with a retro style throughout the film.

HIT 3 Movie Review

Casting : Nani, Srinidhi Shetty, Surya Srinivas, Athil Bala, Samuthirakani, Rao Ramesh, Komalee Prasad, Ravindra Vijay, Prathik Babar

Directed By : Sailesh Kolanu

Music By : Mickey J. Meyer

Produced By : Wall Poster Cinema & Unanimous Productions

Police officer Nani, who is investigating a murder case, receives information that many people have been brutally murdered in different parts of the country in the same style. While investigating those cases, it is revealed that there is a cruel dark world behind it. Where is that world? Who runs it? What is the motive for their brutal murders?, is the violent journey of Nani who takes to the field to find out.

Although he is a police officer who does not wear khaki, Nani, who has acted majestically and aggressively to bring pride to the police, attracts the full attention of the fans with his every move. Despite the violence in the action scenes, Nani keeps the audience entertained with his unique acting and unique mannerisms.

Although Srinidhi Shetty, who plays the heroine, does not have much work, the efforts made to make her travel with the screenplay have helped the film to a great extent.

Surya Srinivas, including Bala, Rao Ramesh, Samuthirakani, Komali Prasad, Mahanthi Srinath, Ravindra Vijay, Prateek Babar, Amit Sharma, who have played other roles, have been a suitable choice for the character.

Cinematographer Sanu John Varghese is a huge strength of the film. Although there are a lot of action scenes and violence in the film, he has presented it in a way that does not irritate.

Music composer Mickey J. Meyer’s background score not only enhances the pace and excitement of the screenplay many times over, but also plays an important role in conveying the emotions of the character Arjun Sarkar to the audience.

Although the fight scenes are long and violent, editor Karthika Srinivas, who shows them from different angles and neatly combines the scenes, keeps the entire film moving at a fast pace without slowing down.

Written and directed by Sailesh Golanu, he has given the crime suspense thriller genre as a commercial mass action film. He not only takes the audience on a journey into the story within a few minutes of the film’s start, but also keeps the audience on their toes by asking the question, “What’s next?” throughout the film.

The story, which begins in Visakhapatnam, travels to many states like Kashmir, Bihar, Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh, but travels at rocket speed without any hesitation anywhere.

Although the film is full of action and violent scenes, director Sailesh Golanu, who keeps them in sync with the screenplay, makes Arjun Sarkar’s action-packed journey a mass and thriller, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

Tourist Family Review

Casting : Sasikumar, Simran, Yogi Babu, MS Baskar, Elango Kumaravel, Bags, Mithun Jaisankar, Kamalesh Jegan

Directed By : Abishan Jeevinth

Music By : Sean Roldan

Produced By : Million Dollar Studios & MRP Entertainment – Pasilian Nazerath, Magesh Raj Pasilian, Yuvaraj Ganesan

Sasikumar, an Eelam Tamil, comes to Tamil Nadu from Sri Lanka illegally with his wife Simran and two sons and starts living illegally in Chennai.

Meanwhile, on the same day that Sasikumar’s family arrives in Rameswaram, a bomb blast occurs there. The police, believing that Sasikumar’s family is connected to this, try to catch the family and solve the case. What happened after that is told like a stage play in ‘Tourist Family’

One of the actors who can give the same expressions no matter what the character is, Sasikumar has done his usual job well.

Although Simran, who plays Sasikumar’s wife, does not have a big role, the person who appears older than Sasikumar on screen has managed to play the role of his wife without any problems.

Mithun Jaishankar, who plays the eldest son of Sasikumar – Simran couple, and Kamlesh Jagan, who plays the youngest son, have done their job flawlessly. Especially the little Kamlesh, who wakes up the sleeping fans every now and then.

Yogi Babu, who appears at the beginning of the film, disappears after that. Then he shows his head before the end of the film and disappears.

All the actors who play other roles like M.S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bucks, Ilango Kumaravel, Sreeja Ravi, Yogalakshmi have acted artificially.

The songs and background score with music by Shawn Roldan have gone on to add strength to the film.

Aravinda Viswanathan’s cinematography is designed to reflect the stage play.

The fact that editor Bharath Vikraman realized that the screenplay did not have many strong features and shortened the scenes and reduced the length of the film has helped the film a lot.

Although Abhishan Jeevin, who wrote and directed, has made the screenplay based on the plight of the Eelam Tamils as the theme, he has tried to tell it humorously. However, since all the humorous scenes in the film are artificial, instead of laughing, he only makes you sleepy.

The first half of the film is like a Doordarshan serial of that time, and in the second half, director Abhishan Jeevin has tried to make the audience laugh by using Sasikumar’s eldest son’s love failure and the younger son’s mischief. Although the only thing that is enjoyable is that he ends the film with an unexpected and interesting climax at the end, what he says is not acceptable.

Team Sachein thank the fans and media for making the Re-Release of the film a huge Victory

In recent years, re-releasing popular Tamil films that were well-celebrated and successful among fans has become a growing trend. This allows fans to relive and celebrate their favorite scenes on the big screen once again. Thalapathy Vijay’s Ghilli was a prime example of this trend, achieving massive success upon its re-release. This resurgence of blockbuster films in theaters has heightened the excitement among moviegoers.

In line with this, the 2005 romantic-comedy film Sachein, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Genelia Deshmukh was re-released globally across more than 350 theaters on April 18, after 20 years, and witnessed overwhelming success. To celebrate this achievement, the movie team organized a Thanksgiving meet in Chennai that was graced by the producer Kalaippuli S Thanu, director John Mahendran, music composer Devi Sri Prasad and dance choreographer Shobi graced the ocassion.

Shobi
Dance choreographer Shobi, who choreographed songs like Vaadi Vaadi and Kanmoodi Thirakkum Bothu in the film, shared during the event:

“It feels like a brand-new experience to participate in the success meet of Sachein, which has once again succeeded in theaters. It’s heartwarming to see today’s generation celebrating the songs just like the fans did 20 years ago. Working with producer Thanu sir, director John Mahendran, cinematographer Jeeva, and music director Devi Sri Prasad for the first time brings back fond memories. Thalapathy Vijay’s cooperation was a major reason why the song sequences turned out so well. Producer Thanu possesses three cinematic treasures with Vijay sir – Sachein, Thuppakki, and Theri. I sincerely thank the entire movie team, my dance crew, and the media friends.”

John Mahendran
Director John Mahendran then spoke:

“It doesn’t even feel like Sachein was re-released; it feels like a brand-new movie has hit the screens. It’s hard to believe 20 years have passed! Producer Thanu sir had informed me earlier about plans to re-release the film. He kept updating trailers and songs just like for a new film. The trailer, in particular, built great excitement and desire among audiences to watch it in theaters. The credit for that goes entirely to producer Thanu sir. It was astonishing to see the movie being released worldwide. While Thalapathy Vijay remains the major attraction pulling audiences to theaters, Thanu sir’s marketing efforts also played a crucial role. Devi Sri Prasad’s music and Shobi’s lively choreography kept the audience entertained. It is deeply saddening that cinematographer and director Jeeva, who captured such beautiful visuals, is no longer with us. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Thalapathy Vijay, Genelia, and the entire team for their wonderful cooperation during the shoot.”

Kalaippuli S Thanu
Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu then took the stage to share some delightful memories:

“It would take more than a day to narrate how Sachein came to be with Thalapathy Vijay. During a period when Vijay was focused on action-packed films like Thirupaachi and Madhurey, I suggested a change. I told him about director John Mahendran and the kind of story he had – something in the lines of Kushi. After arranging for John to narrate the story to Vijay, just an hour and a half later, Vijay called me and said he loved the story and was ready to do it.

We released the film worldwide on April 14, 2005, and it was a major commercial success. Distributors reported excellent box-office returns, and the film ran for 200 days in theaters. Now, thanks to reduced advertising costs and the ability to reach fans easily through digital media, Sachein’s re-release has also become a tremendous success, celebrated by families. The day after the re-release, I visited a theater with my family and witnessed an unbelievable crowd.

Vijay is an actor who lifts and supports producers without any trouble. Theater owners also played a major role in the movie’s re-release success. I sincerely thank the media friends who helped bring the film closer to the people and made it a grand success.”

Devi Sri Prasad
Music director Devi Sri Prasad, who energized two generations with his vibrant music, said:

“I celebrate my life through music. Wherever I go, people still talk about how wonderful Sachein’s songs are. Whether it’s a concert or an award ceremony, I’ve never stepped off a stage without performing a song from Sachein. It holds a very special place in my musical journey. I sincerely thank Thanu sir for giving me this opportunity.

I still remember getting a call from him, saying, ‘Wherever I go, people are talking about you!’ He asked me to meet him once I was back in Chennai, and when we met, he told me, ‘We are doing a film called Sachien.’ He treats me like one of his own family. A few months ago, he informed me about the plans to re-release Sachein, and seeing the way audiences are still celebrating the music even today fills my heart with joy. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team and the media friends.”

With that, the success meet event celebrating Sachein’s re-release came to a delightful close.

Sumo Movie Review

Casting : Shiva, Priya Anand, Yoshinori Tashiro, ‘Yogi’ Babu, Satish, ‘VTV’ Ganesh, ‘Nizhalgal’ Ravi, Suresh Chakravrthy, Chetan, Sreenath, Besant Ravi

Directed By : SP Hosimin

Music By : Nivas K Prasanna

Produced By : Vels Film International Limited – Ishari K Ganesh

Shiva, a surfing athlete from Chennai, goes to the sea to surf as per the case, when a person is washed ashore. Siva rescues him. Since he is a foreigner and does not know any details including his nationality, and the person does not remember who he is, Siva takes care of him.

Meanwhile, Siva comes to know that the person who washed ashore is from Japan and that he is the biggest sumo wrestler in that country. Siva tries to send him to his home country. But, a gang that does not want the sumo wrestler to return to Japan tries to stop him from coming there, and their efforts are thwarted, and Shiva takes the sumo wrestler back to Japan? Who is the gang that is stopping him from coming to Japan? Why are they stopping him, is what the commercial says.

Shiva, who has given himself the title of a global superstar and makes fun of himself, has hijacked the scenes by talking without acting as usual. If he does not know how to act, then he does not know how to love. Therefore, he did not give him and the heroine much romance.

Although Priya Anand, who plays the heroine, is an actress who is full of beauty and charm, she has been wasted without using her special features properly.

They have tried to make comedians like Nizhalgal Ravi, Chethan, Srinath, Suresh Chakravarthy who have played other roles as comedians as they feel that the comedy done by Yogi Babu, Sathish, and VTV Ganesh is not enough. But even with so many comedy actors, the bite is too much.

In Nivas K. Prasanna’s music, only the song about Pillaiyar is a repetitive type. The other songs are only used to fill the screenplay. The background music is mediocre.

Cinematography Rajiv Menon is only visible in the title card. There are not enough scenes in the film to give his camera work.

Siva, who has written the screenplay and dialogues of the film in addition to acting, is suffering from a lack of comedy dialogues. He who tried to somehow manage with actors including Yogi Babu, has faced a major setback there as a screenwriter.

S.P. Hosmin, who has written and directed the story, has directed a commercial film without any commercial aspects. Although comedy is the strength of the screenplay, he has struggled to handle it properly. Especially, the fact that the entire film moves dryly with a heroine like Priya Anand is a big disappointment for the fans.

Although the story revolves around a sumo wrestler, the backstory of the wrestler is typical and the film lacks additional and unknown information about the sumo sport competition, which is the biggest weakness of the screenplay.
