The audio launch of the film ‘Maaman’, starring actor Soori in the lead role, was held in Chennai.
Directed by Prashanth Pandiaraj, ‘Maaman’ stars Soori, Raj Kiran, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Swasika, Bala Saravanan, Jayaprakash, Viji Chandrasekhar, Geetha Kailasam, Nikila Shankar, Master Prageeth Sivan, Chaya Devi and many others. Dinesh Purushothaman has handled the cinematography and Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed the music for this film. The film, which is based on the mother-uncle relationship, is produced by producer K. Kumar under Lark Studios. The film is distributed by famous distributor Chidambaram under Sri Kumaran Films.
The audio launch of the film, which will be released in theaters worldwide on the 16th, was held in Chennai with a grand ceremony. The film crew along with directors Lokesh Kanagaraj, Mari Selvaraj, Siruthai Siva, Pandiraj, Pon Ram, Ravikumar, producers Five Star Kathiresan, T. Siva, Arun Vishwa, K. Kalaiyarasu were present as special guests.

Music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab said, ” ‘Maaman’ is the first film to be released in Tamil with my music. I met the director of the film, Prashanth, in a Zoom meeting and started narrating the story. At that time, I was busy working on another film. After that, he narrated the story in its entirety that night. Tears started flowing in my eyes while narrating the story of the film until the interval. At that moment, I decided that we should compose music for this film.
Usually, after listening to a story in its entirety, I tell it to my wife, discuss it, and decide whether to agree to compose music or not the next morning.
After listening to the second half of the film, I immediately told the director that I would compose music for this film. At that time, I told him that this was the best of the stories I had heard so far. I said that this film will be a huge symbol for me.
My wife also shed tears when I saw the preview of this film. I would like to thank everyone, the producer and director, for giving me the opportunity to compose music for this film. I would like to thank the actors, actresses, technicians and lyricists who acted in this film. ”

இப்படத்தின் கதையை நான் எழுதி இருந்தாலும் எனது பெயர் வரவேண்டாம் என இயக்குநரிடம் சொல்லி இருந்தேன். ஆனாலும் இப்படத்தின் கதை என எனது பெயர் இடம் பிடித்திருக்கிறது. இதற்கு காரணமான திங்க் மியூசிக் சந்தோஷிற்கு நன்றி. ஒரு படம் பிடித்து விட்டால் அதைப்பற்றி திரையுலகம் முழுவதும் சொல்லி கொண்டாடும் உங்களுக்கு மீண்டும் ஒரு முறை நன்றி.
நான் இங்கு நிற்கிறேன் என்றால் அதற்கு என்னுடைய குடும்பம் தான் காரணம். இந்தப் படத்தில் ஒரு வசனம் இருக்கிறது ‘சாமிக்கு அடுத்து பொண்டாட்டி இல்லடா.. பொண்டாட்டி தான் சாமி’. இது என்னை மிகவும் நெகிழ வைத்தது. அதேபோல் எனக்கு சாமிக்கு அடுத்து குடும்பம் இல்லை குடும்பம் தான் சாமி என்று நான் நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். இன்று எனக்கு பல விசயங்களை கற்றுக் கொடுத்தது குடும்பம் தான். இந்தப் படத்தின் கதை உருவானதும் இங்கிருந்து தான். நான் இந்த படத்திற்காக கதையை யோசித்து எழுதவில்லை. எங்கள் குடும்ப உறவுகளில் நடைபெற்ற சம்பவங்களை தான் சொல்லி இருக்கிறேன்.
இயக்குநர் பிரசாந்த் பாண்டியராஜ் என்னை சந்தித்து இரண்டு கதைகளை சொன்னார். இரண்டும் நன்றாக இருந்தது. இருந்தாலும் தயாரிப்பாளர் குமார், ‘உங்களிடம் இருக்கும் கதையை சொல்லுங்கள். அதை பிரசாந்த் திரைக்கதையாக மாற்றி இயக்குவார் ‘ என சொன்னார். நான் முதலில் தயங்கினேன். பிறகு இந்த படத்தின் கதையை அவரிடம் சொன்னேன். குடும்பத்தில் அம்மா அப்பா தாத்தா பாட்டி அண்ணன் தங்கை என எத்தனையோ உறவுகள் இருந்தாலும் ஸ்பெஷலான உறவு என்றால்.. அது தாய் மாமன் உறவு தான். தாய்க்குப் பிறகு தாய் ஸ்தானத்தில் இருக்கும் ஒரு உறவு என்றால் அது தாய் மாமன் தான். தாய் மாமனை பற்றி பல படங்கள் வெளியாகி இருக்கிறது. இதில் ஒரு சின்ன பையனுக்கும் அவனுடைய தாய் மாமனுக்கும் இடையேயான உறவை சொல்லி இருக்கிறோம். இந்த கதையை இயக்குநர் வெற்றிமாறனிடம் ஒரு வருடத்திற்கு முன்பே சொல்லி இருக்கிறேன். அவரும் நன்றாக இருக்கிறது என சொன்னார். இந்த கதையை கேட்டதும் பிரசாந்த் பாண்டிராஜ், ‘அண்ணே இந்த கதை என்னுடைய குடும்பத்திலும் நடந்திருக்கிறது’ என்றார்.
இந்த படம் இன்றைய காலகட்டத்திற்கு தேவையானதாக இருக்கிறது என சொல்லி இப்படத்தை இயக்கத் தொடங்கினார். இந்தப் படத்திற்கு முக்கியமான நடிகரே அந்த சின்னப் பையன் தான். அவர் யார்? என்று இயக்குநரிடம் கேட்டேன். அந்த கதாபாத்திரத்திற்காக தயாரிப்பாளர் மூன்று குழந்தை நட்சத்திரங்கள் நட்சத்திரங்களை பரிந்துரைத்தார். நான் ஒரு பத்து குழந்தை நட்சத்திரங்களை பரிந்துரைத்தேன். காரில் பயணிக்கும் போது எதிரில் தென்படும் குழந்தைகள் எல்லாம் போனில் போட்டோ எடுக்க தொடங்கினேன். படப்பிடிப்பும் தொடங்கியது. அதன் பிறகு இயக்குநர் மாஸ்டர் பிரகீத் சிவனை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். அவர் இயக்குநரின் மகன் என்பது அதன் பிறகு தான் தெரியும். அந்த பையனும் மிகச் சிறப்பாக நடித்தார். படப்பிடிப்பு தளத்தில் அவனின் சேட்டைகளை அனைவரும் ரசித்தோம். அவருக்கும் என்னுடைய வாழ்த்துக்களையும், நன்றிகளையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.
