‘The Paradise’, directed by Srikanth Odela, stars Nani, Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Sonali Kulkarni, Mohan Babu, Eswari Rao, Sampoornesh Babu, Tanikella Bharani, Raja Ravindra and Ram Jagan in key roles. Actress Keerthy Suresh makes a special appearance and has performed in a song.
C. H. Sai has handled the cinematography, while Anirudh has composed the music. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner, the film is said to be a mass-action entertainer. Ishan Saxena of IVY Entertainment has served as the co-producer.
‘The Paradise’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 24. Think Studios has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights.
The film’s pre-release event was recently held in Chennai, attended by Nani, director Srikanth Odela and Think Studios’ Swaroop Reddy.
Speaking at the event, Swaroop Reddy said that ‘The Paradise’ is releasing during the Navaratri festival and that there is considerable anticipation because Nani is part of the film. He expressed hope that the film would receive strong support from audiences.
Director Srikanth Odela said that he does not know Tamil yet but promised to learn the language and speak in Tamil at his next film’s event. He described ‘The Paradise’ as a film about a mother and a revolution and expressed confidence that its themes would connect strongly with audiences.
Actor Nani said that ‘The Paradise’ will hit theatres on September 24 and described himself as a good audience member who enjoys watching mass films. He said that such large-scale theatrical experiences are relatively rare and that ‘The Paradise’ is intended to fulfil that expectation.
Nani added that the film combines strong emotions with an entertaining theatrical experience and expressed confidence that audiences would understand his excitement after watching the film on September 24.
Speaking about his connection with Tamil cinema, Nani said that Tamil films have been like a Bible to him and that legendary filmmakers and actors such as Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, K. Bhagyaraj and Bharathiraja have inspired his passion for cinema. He also said that he feels at home whenever he visits Chennai and expressed his gratitude for the affection he has received from Tamil audiences.
Nani revealed that his decision to speak in Tamil for the film’s voice-over was driven by his affection for Tamil audiences. He described ‘The Paradise’ as one of the most challenging films he has worked on and said it is also the film he is looking forward to with great confidence.
He further said that when he returns to Chennai for his next film’s promotions, he believes fans will call him by his character name, ‘Jadal’, from ‘The Paradise’.
Following the event, director Srikanth Odela and Nani answered questions from the press. Nani also unveiled the first ticket for a special screening of ‘The Paradise’ for his Chennai fans.
