The ‘World of Vettuvam’ video launch event, which explains how director Pa. Ranjith’s grand action film ‘Vettuvam’ was created and what the title ‘Vettuvam’ signifies, was held yesterday morning at the Sathyam PVR theatre in Chennai. Several prominent Tamil film directors, along with the cast and crew, attended the event.
Highlighting the film’s pan-Indian release, actor Pankaj Tripathi has lent his voice to the Hindi version, actor Rana Daggubati to the Telugu version, actor Soubin Shahir to the Malayalam version and actor Kichcha Sudeep to the Kannada version. Director Pa. Ranjith has provided the voice-over for the Tamil version.
Set against an apocalyptic backdrop and featuring grand-scale action sequences, ‘Vettuvam’ revolves around competition and conflicts between various groups and the unexpected events that arise from them. Created with a distinctive world-building approach, the film features spectacular visuals and a strong action-driven narrative.
The action sequences in the film have been designed based on traditional martial arts, including Adimurai and Malkam. All the actors underwent proper martial arts training for their roles. This has helped bring a natural feel to the action sequences while creating a distinctive theatrical experience.
Arya, Dinesh, Shabeer, Shobita Dhulipala and Kalaiyarasan are among the lead actors in the film, which has been made with grand action sequences and commercial elements.
‘Vettuvam’ is a PAN-Indian film that will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Ever since the film was announced, its grand world and Pa. Ranjith’s direction have generated considerable anticipation across the Indian film industry. As Pa. Ranjith has emerged as a director who has gained attention across India, the announcement of ‘Vettuvam’ has also created significant expectations in various film circles.
The technical crew includes art director S.S. Moorthy, cinematographer Rupesh Shaji, editor Selva R.K., music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar and stunt director Dilip Subbarayan. Writer Santhosh Narayanan has co-written the screenplay, while Franklin has penned the dialogues.
