Only a few films manage to create huge expectations among audiences right from the moment they are announced. When it is a new production from Mythri Movie Makers, a banner that has consistently produced quality and successful films on a pan-Indian scale, the expectations naturally become even higher.
The shooting of ‘Modha Raathiri’, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has been successfully completed. Directed by Raja Karuppasamy, the film stars Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on August 21. The trailer launch event was recently held.
Producer Ravi Shankar said:
“Thank you to all the directors who have come to this event. We immediately liked the story when Raja narrated it to us. Films made on small budgets, such as Tourist Family, have achieved success. Similarly, this film also has a strong story and setting. My best wishes to the entire team. Thank you to all the fans for their support.”
Director Venkatesh said:
“Thank you to Mythri Movie Makers for giving a new director the opportunity to make this film. After Angadi Theru, I mostly received negative roles. But this is a different kind of character for me. Although actor Rishikanth is an upcoming actor, I performed with caution because I was wondering if his performance might overshadow mine. He will definitely become a big actor. The assistant directors and the entire team have worked extremely hard. The film has come out well. I wish the film great success.”
Editor Ashok Arjun said:
“The fact that a major production house has produced this film itself gave us confidence in the project. We definitely need all your support.”
Cinematographer Suresh Paranjothi said:

“Thank you to Mythri Movie Makers for trusting newcomers like us and giving us this opportunity. My best wishes to the entire team.”
Actor Chetan said:
“When director Raja narrated the story, we sat together as a family and listened to it, laughing throughout. Initially, they had approached my wife to act in the film, but she could not do it because of date issues. Thank you to Mythri Movie Makers for supporting new teams like this. We need everyone’s support.”
Music composer Bharat Shankar said:
“The film’s director Raja is a very straightforward and innocent person, but the film has turned out to be completely different from that personality and has come out very well. Everyone has worked wonderfully on the film. Thank you to the production company. Watch the film in theatres on August 21 and let us know what you think.”
Director Sri Ganesh said:
“I have known the film’s hero Rishi for more than 10 years. I am happy that he is making his debut as a lead actor with this film. The film has come out well. For many members of the team, this is their debut film. They have worked very hard. This will be one of the best films of the year.”
Actress Anishma said:
“Thank you to the director and production company for choosing me for this film. I have played a character named Muthu Selvi. Thank you to everyone who worked on the film.”
Director Keerthiswaran said:
“Half the film’s success is achieved by choosing talented actors. Through this film, I feel like I travelled to and returned from a completely new world. We need your support for the film as well. Thank you to Mythri Movie Makers.”
Director Pari said:
“I see this film as one of those movies that gives hope to people like me who come to cinema from villages with many dreams. When you convey an idea through comedy, it reaches a much larger audience. The director has attempted to convey many ideas through this film. This film definitely needs to succeed for Rishi’s sake.
I want to tell the audience one thing. Big films will always excite you, but small films are the ones that surprise you. So, this film needs your support.”
Director Karthik Subbaraj said:
“Rishi is someone who completely gets into a character and performs exceptionally well. While watching this film, I had the feeling that I was watching a film by Bhagyaraj sir. Everyone has performed very well. My best wishes to the entire team.”
‘Ayalaan’ director R. Ravikumar said:
“A director’s talent lies in what he chooses to make into a film. In that sense, the director has made this film very well. While watching the film, I could understand that actor Rishi has already moved on to the next level as a hero. Everyone has performed very well. Thank you to the production company for understanding this story and supporting it. The film will definitely be a success.”
Director Raja Karuppasamy said:
“This film exists today because of cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman. I am extremely grateful to him. I thank Mythri Movie Makers for understanding the soul of my story and giving me this opportunity.
I also thank my friends, family members and everyone who supported me after I came to Chennai from Thoothukudi. Small-budget films are what will take Tamil cinema to the next level.
This is a story that has been created from my own experiences. I dedicate this film to all the women in my life. Thank you to all the directors who attended this event.”
Actor Rishikanth said:
“My first thanks go to the media for noticing and appreciating my characters in several films. I also need everyone’s support for this film, in which I have played the lead role.
Raja originally brought the story of ‘Modha Raathiri’ as a short film. We then travelled for six years and eventually made this film. I thank the director for never giving up on me and the producers for believing in the story.
I am happy to be a part of a good film. I am sure families will enjoy this film together. Thank you to the entire team. Please watch the film in theatres.”
