The film is created by renowned creator and producer Raj Nidimoru and directed by talented filmmaker P. V. Nandini Reddy. It is produced under Tralala Moving Pictures by Raj Nidimoru, Samantha, and Himank Reddy Tuvvuru.
The press meet held yesterday saw the film team sharing interesting details about the project.
Cinematographer Om Prakash says:
“I am very happy to have worked on this film. It is very special to us. A few years ago, Nandini Reddy contacted me and said she was planning a new film centered on Samantha. I immediately became interested.
Usually, we associate Nandini Reddy with beautiful love and family stories. But this time, she has created a completely different world. Samantha has performed hardcore action sequences like never before. Her dedication and hard work inspired us throughout the shoot.
The energy and intensity you saw in the trailer will be present throughout the film. It will be a full-fledged entertainment experience for the audience. My sincere thanks to the producers and director for giving me this opportunity.”
Actress Gautami says:
“It is always a joy to meet you through a film. I am very happy to be part of a special film like ‘Engal Thangam’.
The shooting experience was very pleasant. I didn’t even realize when the shoot started and ended. It was such a joyful journey that I felt like it could have continued longer.
Recently, I have not been taking many films. But the main reason I accepted this film was the people behind it. The producers and director are the pillars of any film, and I have great respect and affection for Samantha and Nandini Reddy.
They are confident, strong, and graceful. Their professionalism and dedication are admirable. Working with them has been an honour.

“Coming to Chennai always feels like coming home. This area near Sathyam Theatre is very special to me. I lived here during my college days. I am very happy to be standing here today.
I always feel that I should have done more Tamil films. That thought is still there. But there is still time. If I get good stories and roles, I would love to continue acting in Tamil films.
I sincerely thank the press and fans who have supported me for so many years. Even though I haven’t done many Tamil releases recently, the love has never reduced.
In ‘Engal Thangam’, I have worked not only as an actress but also as a producer. I have now fully understood how difficult it is to make and release a film. The final stages were especially challenging, but we have created a film we are proud of.
