Actor Upendra Stills @ UI Movie Interview
UI Movie Actor Upendra Stills

Some people who watch a film directed by Upendra in the theaters go crazy. Some make some bold decisions. Due to this, one side celebrates the film, while the other side fights to ban the film. This is not enough, and a leading film critic is unable to write a review even after watching the film four times. Due to this, he tries to conduct a study on the film and goes in search of Upendra, who directed the film. Did he find the answer to his search? What is the story of the film directed by Upendra? This is the story of the film ‘UI’.

Director Upendra, who has not only satirized politics through UI, which stands for Universal Intelligence, but also spoke of fantasy, has talked about the forces that divide people on the basis of religion and caste in the country, and has made the audience realize the dangers of exploiting natural resources in the future through his imaginary world.

Upendra, who plays two roles as Sathya and Kalki Bhagwan, has played Sathya softly and Kalki menacingly. The one who makes a blood-splattered entry in the opening scene, when he is expected to beat up his opponents, has shown off his muscles by making them look like a monster.

Reeshma Nanayakkara, who plays the heroine, is used for song sequences, but she is an entertaining element for the fans throughout the film.

Murali Sharma, who plays the film critic, Achyut Kumar, who plays Upendra’s father, Om Sai Prakash, and Sathu Kokila, who play other roles, have done their job flawlessly.

The songs and background music are commercial in the music of composer P. Ajaneesh Loknath.

It is evident throughout the film that the VFX artist and art director have worked harder than the cameraman H.C. Venugopal.

Actor Upendra, who has written and directed the film, has not spoken directly about anything, but has spoken in symbolic terms. Although his attempt is different, it has also become perverse. As a result, the audience laments that they do not understand what he is trying to say in the film.
There are no proper roads in the country, but the emphasis on space exploration, the hoarding of weapons even though there is no proper food for the people, and the plundering of natural resources for the selfish interests of many people have given life to his imagination of what the condition of the people will be like in the future. As a director, Upendra has struggled a bit in bringing it to the people in the right way.

Director Upendra, who makes the audience laugh with the sentence “If you are smart, leave the theater before the movie starts”, Sathya’s escape from the place where Kalki had locked him up, and turning a former king into a beggar through cunning, through Sathya, tells and makes them enjoy that people who live in unity and love regardless of caste and religion can easily be divided in the name of God through Kalki.
