Taking the fans of the power star by surprise, production house Mythri Movie Makers dropped the first look of the actor from their eagerly awaited Ustaad Bhagat Singh, an emotional action-drama. The development assumes significance as the film, after being launched late last year, went to floors in Hyderabad in a specially erected police station set designed by production designer Anand Sai.
“The POWER HOUSE has arrived to set ablaze USTAAD sets,” the production house captioned the picture. While Pawan, donning khaki, is not facing the camera in the look, he is comfortably relaxed in a chair holding a gun in one hand and tea in another, while cutting a pose synonymous with his swag. The look has Gabbar Singh vibes written all over it. A photo frame of Bhagat Singh adorns the wall of the station.
The first schedule of the film, directed by Harish Shankar, will span over a week in Hyderabad. While hot and happening Sree Leela is on board to play one of the female leads, the likes of Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, KGF fame Avinash, Gauthami, Narra Srinu, Naga Mahesh and Temper Vamsi round off the supporting cast. Devi Sri Prasad, who belted out super hit albums like Jalsa, Attarintiki Daaredhi, Gabbar Singh and Sardaar Gabbar Singh for Pawan in the past, is scoring music for this film as well, while Ram-Lakshman duo is choreographing the action part. Ayananka Bose is the cameraman.
