The upcoming film ‘Mandaadi’, directed by Madhimaran, stars Soori, Mahima Nambiar, Sugaas and others in key roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 10. The music has been composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, and the film is produced by R. S. Infotainment.
The audio launch of the film was recently held in Chennai. Speaking at the event, actor Soori said that director Vetri Maaran is the reason for where he is today and for where he will go in the future, adding emotionally that the seed planted by Vetri Maaran has now grown into a plant.
Soori said that the team faced several challenges while making the film. The shoot was carried out in the middle of the sea, and the hard work has resulted in the film coming out well.
He revealed that the director initially told him that 80 percent of the shooting would be done in a swimming pool and only the remaining 20 percent would be shot in the sea. However, the team eventually spent two months shooting in the sea. During that period, Soori said he could communicate with his family only through video calls.
He expressed confidence that the film had come out very well and that audiences would definitely enjoy it.
“No matter how high I go, director Vetri Maaran is the reason behind it. The seed he planted has now grown into a plant,” Soori said emotionally.
He further stated that the team did not take risks merely for the sake of creating spectacular scenes in ‘Mandaadi’, which features challenging sea-based sports and action sequences. Instead, they transformed those real risks and challenges themselves into a film.
Vetri Maaran Praises Soori’s Dedication
Director Vetri Maaran, who attended the event as a special guest, praised Soori’s dedication and hard work.
Speaking at the event, he said that Soori’s commitment and effort with every film continues to amaze him. However, he advised Soori to be extremely careful about injuries sustained while performing action sequences.
Vetri Maaran said:
“Soori is willing to take on even the most difficult and challenging work for cinema. Whatever task is given to him, he accepts it without hesitation. He is an exceptionally hardworking person.
Soori is someone who is willing to take risks without any hesitation for the needs of the story and to bring authenticity to the scenes. However, while taking such risks, he must also take care of his body.
Especially when performing action sequences, injuries should not be neglected and must be handled with great care.”
Vetri Maaran also emotionally noted that Soori, who began his career as a comedian and has now established himself as a leading actor, deeply values the position and growth he has achieved through his hard work.
He praised Soori as a truly dedicated and hardworking actor who greatly respects his own journey and growth.
