Actor Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International has officially announced that the new film starring Superstar Rajinikanth has been titled “Dharman.” The film will be directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who previously delivered the blockbuster hits Oh My Kadavule and Dragon. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose energetic soundtracks have earned him a global fan base.
The production house also announced that shooting for the film commenced yesterday and unveiled the title and first-look poster of Dharman.
Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth have remained two of Indian cinema’s biggest icons for over five decades. Their enduring friendship, mutual admiration, and respect are considered truly special. A film starring Rajinikanth and produced by Kamal Haasan is a landmark collaboration that Indian cinema has long awaited.
This also marks the first time Rajinikanth is acting in a film produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, a banner that has spent 46 years delivering quality cinema without compromise.
Leading South Indian actress Simran and acclaimed actress Raashii Khanna, known for her performances in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu films, play important roles in the film.
The technical team includes National Award-winning action choreographers Anbariv Masters, cinematographer Niketh Bommireddy, production designer Karthik Rajkumar, editor Pradeep E. Raghav, and art director Annadurai. Disney has also joined the project as a co-producer.
The launch ceremony and first schedule of shooting for Dharman, a milestone production for Raaj Kamal Films International, began in Chennai yesterday in the presence of the cast, crew, production team, and distinguished guests.
Several prominent personalities from the film industry attended the event, including Kalaipuli S. Thanu, Anbuchezhian, R.K. Selvamani, Lingusamy, Kannan (CTO, Sun Network), Senbagamoorthy, Tamil Kumaran, Krishnan Kutty (JioStar), Balachandran (JioStar), Pradeep Milroy Peter (JioStar), Anand (Saregama), and Saravanan Vinoth, along with leaders from various film associations.
