‘Anandhan Kaadu’ Press Meet A Grand Collaboration Between Arya and Jiyen Krishnakumar
The press meet for the upcoming Tamil–Malayalam film Anandhan Kaadu was recently held. The event was attended by actor Arya, director Jiyen Krishnakumar, actor Indrans, and other members of the film’s crew, who answered questions from the media.
During the event, the team spoke in detail about the film’s story, background, and production journey. Responding to questions regarding certain political and historical references featured in the trailer, director Jiyen Krishnakumar explained that while some incidents in the film are inspired by real events, audiences should experience the complete story in theaters before drawing conclusions.
Speaking at the event, Jiyen Krishnakumar said:
“This is not merely an action film. It is a layered narrative filled with emotions, human experiences, and multiple dimensions. Although it contains certain historical elements, the film was not created with the intention of hurting any community or group of people.”
Actor Arya stated:
“This film is the result of more than two years of hard work and dedication. Director Jiyen Krishnakumar has brought Murali Gopy’s multi-layered screenplay to the screen without compromise. Both technically and narratively, it will be a highly satisfying cinematic experience.”
He further revealed that the film has been made simultaneously in both Tamil and Malayalam, with a unique release strategy designed to provide audiences with the fullest emotional experience.
Arya also highlighted the film’s action sequences, emotional moments, and especially its interval block. He praised the performances of fellow actors Indrans, Sunil, Vijayaraghavan, Dev Mohan, and Nikhila Vimal.
Discussing the cinematography, action choreography, production design, and other technical aspects, Arya commended the dedication of the entire crew and expressed confidence that Anandhan Kaadu would offer audiences a complete theatrical experience.
Actor Indrans, who plays a key role in the film, said:
“I acted in Anandhan Kaadu even before Karuppu. This is one of the most significant and challenging roles in my acting career. I am confident that audiences will appreciate it after the film’s release.”
The team also acknowledged the contributions of the technical crew, emphasizing the meticulous attention given to cinematography, action sequences, production design, and every other aspect of filmmaking

Speaking about the release, producer S. Vinod Kumar said that despite the growing OTT landscape, the team strongly believes in the theatrical experience and will release Anandhan Kaadu worldwide. He added that the film has been made on a budget exceeding ₹60 crore and is being released with complete faith in audience support.
The team concluded the event by thanking Gokulam Movies� and its chairman Gokulam Gopalan for their support in distributing the film globally.
The highly anticipated Anandhan Kaadu is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 25 in both Tamil and Malayalam languages.
