The teaser for the upcoming Tamil web series “Muthu aka Kaataan”, starring Vijay Sethupathi, has been released and is receiving a massive response on social media. Produced by Vijay Sethupathi Productions and Jio Studios, the series is set to premiere soon on Jio Hotstar OTT platform.
The teaser introduces a small village police station that has remained dormant for three years due to no complaints. Suddenly, the peace is disrupted when a man’s severed head is discovered—“Muthu’s head.” The mystery of who Muthu is and where his body is forms the central intrigue of the story. The teaser’s suspenseful sequences, unique character designs, and Vijay Sethupathi’s striking new look have captured audience attention and generated high anticipation.
This project reunites the celebrated duo of Vijay Sethupathi and director M. Manikandan, known for critically acclaimed films like Aandavan Kattalai and Kadaisi Vivasayi. Fans expect Manikandan’s signature storytelling style—blending human emotions, social nuances, and natural narrative—with Vijay Sethupathi’s understated yet powerful acting to breathe life into this OTT series.
