Story
The heroine, Deepa Balu, marries Kalaiyarasan against her parents’ wishes. After living peacefully away from their hometown, the couple returns to their village.
Following local customs, the family visits a forest temple to worship their clan deity, believing that offering Pongal will ensure the safe birth of the child. Deepa Balu, who is heavily pregnant, goes along with them.
Despite the spiritual purpose of the visit, she carries an unexplained fear and anxiety. There, she faces an unexpected and shocking incident.
The film portrays this incident as a reflection of a cruel reality that has existed—and continues to exist—in society.
