The protagonist, Kaarthieswaran, earns Rs. 5000 crore through various fraudulent schemes. Just as he plans to take the money and flee abroad, he gets caught by police inspector Sreenithi.
Did Kaarthieswaran escape after being caught by the police? What were the frauds he committed? How did he cleverly execute them? What was his motive for doing so? The answers to these questions form the story of the film.
S. Kaarthieswaran, who directed the film, also plays the lead role. With an innocent face and a gentle appearance, Kaarthieswaran’s fraudulent activities are shocking and astonishing. While Kaarthieswaran has acted with an understanding of the character, his various disguises don’t quite suit him, which is a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, as an actor, he has performed well in acting, dancing, comedy, and action.
Sreenithi, who plays the police inspector, is majestic and captivating.
Aadhavan, Livingston, Black Pandi, Mrithula Suresh, and Akalya Venkatesan, who played members of Kaarthieswaran’s fraud team, have all performed their roles flawlessly.
Cinematographer N.S. Rajesh has filmed the scenes colorfully and with high quality.
The songs composed by Srikanth Deva are foot-tapping. The background music is excessively loud and jarring.
Editor Sajin.C has edited the scenes according to the director’s sequence. Writer and director S. Kartheeshwaran has shockingly depicted all kinds of scams, from the fraud perpetrated by a corporate company promising smartphones at incredibly low prices to the online scams happening currently.
Despite news reports about many people being cheated in various ways, people continue to be deceived, and the perpetrators continue to defraud them. Director S. Kartheeshwaran has commercially portrayed the reasons behind this, and has also suggested what people should do to avoid falling victim to such scams.
Although there are some shortcomings in the filmmaking and the handling of certain scenes, director S. Kartheeshwaran has conveyed his message neatly and engagingly. Had he focused more on the screenplay, he could have certainly delivered another film like ‘Sathuranga Vettai’.
