In it, there is a message that says, “Don’t commit suicide, there are many people who love you on this earth.” What is more shocking is that the woman who sent that message died two months ago.
Sriram Karthick, who investigates how a dead person can send messages, is he really dead? He comes to know many more shocking facts. What is it? What happened after that? ‘Messenger’ is a different way of saying, “This is not human love for humans to realize”.
Despite the different thinking and bizarre visuals, Sriram Karthik has handled everything very skillfully through his acting and has done complete justice to his character as the hero. Those who say that there is a dearth of heroes in Tamil cinema can use actors like Sriram Karthik to overcome that dearth.
Manisha Sri, who plays the heroine, although she is not as generous in her charm as usual, has acted in a lip lock scene to overcome that shortcoming. Manisha, who plays the hero’s ex-girlfriend, has done her job perfectly.
Fatima, who plays the other heroine, has acted in a way that adds strength to her character with a face and expectations suitable for a village girl.
Vaishali Ravichandran, who plays Fatima’s friend, attracts attention with her beauty and charm. She creates expectations that she will be a big twist in the screenplay, but she disappoints halfway through the film.
Those who have played other roles like Jeeva Ravi, Livingston, Priyadarshini are apt choices for the role.
Music composer Abubakkar.M’s songs and background score have enlivened the flow of the screenplay. Although the songs and background score do not receive special attention, they have traveled in a way that makes the slow-moving screenplay and scenes enjoyable.
Cinematographer Bala Ganesan.R has captured the simple village locations from various angles and has made them enjoyable, and has captured the hero and heroines beautifully by shooting them brilliantly.
The work of editor Prashanth.R, who has worked well in capturing the director’s attempt to tell a horror story from an angle that has never been told before, is also commendable.
There have been many love stories in Tamil cinema that are about unseen love, love that one person sees but the other does not see. But this love that director Ramesh Ilangamani has told is something that no one has ever thought of. The story, which starts as a horror film, then expands into a love story, leaving the audience in a state of surprise and shock.
Although it is practically impossible, director Ramesh Ilangamani has told it in a somewhat interesting way through screenplay, storytelling, and shooting, creating a quality film with a different storyline.
