‘Meesha’ is a story about two friends who are trying to divide people through caste and religion and seek their own gain.
Kathir and Hakkim Shah, who belong to different castes, have been close friends since school and are actively working for a political party. However, Kathir, who learns that the party is using them for their own gain and is also trying to gain by preventing the facilities available to the people, tries to unite the people against the party. ‘Meesha’ is a thrilling story set in a dense forest and with a socio-political backdrop, tells the story of two friends who get caught in the web of conspiracy spread by politicians to control Kathir. What happens to their lives as a result?
Kathir, who has made his debut in Malayalam cinema, has acted well in a compelling role in his first film and has established himself. Kathir, who has acted emotionally in the scenes where he is betrayed and is tormented by the pain of betrayal, easily attracts the attention of the audience through his dialogue delivery and body language through the character of Mithun.
Hakim Shah, who plays Kathir’s friend as another hero, has expressed his feelings beautifully through expression, even though he has played a modest role. The actor who remains silent throughout the film, scores in the climax scene where he cries about the cruelty that has befallen his friend.
The screen presence and acting of Sain Tom Chacko, who plays the hunter, Sudhi Koppa, and Geo Baby, who plays the politician, have added great strength to the film.
Music composer Suraj S. Group has done a great job in both the songs and the background score, to the point where one asks, “Who is the music composer on the title card?” The forest scenes have been made to frighten the audience with different sounds.
Cinematographer Suresh Rajan has not only beautifully depicted the beauty of the forest but also the dangers hidden there. In particular, he has perfectly captured the climatic changes of the forest, making the audience nervous.
The story of friendship and socio-political issues, told in a linear manner, is interestingly moved by the editor Manoj.
Director MC Joseph, who has talked about social politics in the screenplay with friendship as the theme, has emphatically recorded that public leaders are brought down by the betrayals of those around them.
The first half of the film, which is a forest journey and a political journey, travels with excitement and anticipation. If the second half had had the same excitement, the film would have definitely created a great sensation.
