Produced by Kalpathi S. Agoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, Kalpathi S. Suresh under the guidance of Creative Producer Archana Kalpathi, Associate Creative Producer Aishwarya Kalpathi, and directed by Aswath Marimuthu, ‘Dragon’ starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Kayadu Lohar, Anupama Parameswaran – K. S. Ravikumar, Mysskin and others has successfully crossed its 100th day with the overwhelming support of the fans.
In this situation, the film’s 100th day success celebration was organized by the film crew to honor and reward everyone who worked on the film.
The event held in Chennai was welcomed by AGS Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Rangarajan.
Following this, awards were presented to all those who worked on the film, including theater owners, distributors, actors including Pradeep Ranganathan, George Marian,
Rohanth, director, cinematographer, music composer, film editor, technical artists including production executives, and workers.
Speaking at the event, Chromepet Victory Theater Owner Rakesh said, “This is a very happy day. The 100th day of success of the film ‘Dragon’. Generally, there is a myth in the Tamil film industry that February will have low collections. ‘Dragon’ is the successful film that broke the myth that if a film is released in February, it will not be successful. ‘Dragon’ has taken one or the second place among the highest grossing films released in Tamil Nadu cinemas this year. The hero of the film, Pradeep, has become a big star among the youth. I wish him continued success. AGS has been consistently delivering successful films. ‘Oh My God’ directed by Aswath Marimuthu is also a great film. I wish his films to be successful,” he said.

Vishnu, owner of Kamala Cinemas, said, “You have worked together as a team to deliver this film and make it a success. This success cannot be described in words. All the cinema owners are happy. On the first day of the release of this film, the film crew visited our cinema. At that time, I had said, ‘We will definitely meet at the 100th day success ceremony of this film.’ That has come true today. We express our heartfelt gratitude to AGS, which has been consistently delivering successful films. The film ‘GOAT’ released by AGS in 2024 was a box office success. Following that, the film ‘Dragon’ was a box office success in 2025. We have received the 100th day success award for the film ‘Love Today’ starring Pradeep Ranganathan. Following that, we have also received the 100th day success award for the film ‘Dragon’ starring him. We will also receive an award for the film ‘DUDE’ in which he stars. You have announced that the AGS-Aswath-Pradeep- alliance will reunite. We are eagerly waiting for that, thank you,” he said.
Speaking, Director Aswath Marimuthu said, ”I consider these four hours as a beautiful moment. First of all, I would like to thank AGS for inviting everyone who worked for the success of the film and giving them an award. The biggest recognition for an artist is to receive an award from the producers, the director or the actor. I would like to express my gratitude once again to AGS for making this possible.
One day, when Pradeep and I were walking around in the Madipakkam area, Pradeep said, “I am going to be a hero.” I immediately congratulated him and said, “It’s a good thing.” At that moment, I never thought that we would work together in a film called ‘Dragon’ or that we would meet at the film’s 100th day success ceremony.
Pradeep Ranganathan has gained more fans through the film ‘Dragon’ than through the film ‘Love Today’. His fans have come here from different places. I would like to thank them at this moment. In the future, Pradeep’s fans will increase and the Nehru Stadium will be filled. I am waiting for that too. Thank you to everyone who came,” he said.
Creative Producer Archana Kalpathi said, ”When a film is good, the word of mouth for that film is as important as the contribution of the media. After the press screening of this film, you journalists praised this film as a huge success. You brought that to the fans as well. For this, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the media at this moment,” he said.
Actor Pradeep Ranganathan said, ”Everyone knows that director Aswath and I are friends. When he was writing the story of the film ‘Oh My God’, he once said to me, ‘There is such a character. Are you acting in it?’ he asked. To that I replied, ‘If I act, I will act as a hero.’ At that time, I did not direct the film ‘Comali’. I did not act in the film ‘Love Today’ either. However, Aswath had faith in me.
After that, after finishing acting in the film ‘Love Today’, I showed it to Aswath before the film was released. Then I asked him if he would direct the film with me as the hero. He replied, ‘Time will tell.’ I thought that it would take some time for both of us to work together. But it was the fans who made it possible in one film.
I would like to thank Aswath Marimuthu once again for directing the film ‘Dragon’. The blind faith I had in me that if I acted, I would act as a hero was fulfilled by the support of the fans.
Following this, AGS is also responsible for the success of this film. This is the second hundred-day film that I have worked with this company. The success of ‘Love Today’ was called magic. So we thought we should deliver another successful film. At this point, AGS and director Aswath were in talks to make a film. That’s how ‘Dragon’ came about. This journey filled with joy with AGS will continue.
This is my third hundred-day film in a row, ‘Comali’, ‘Love Today’ and ‘Dragon’. I am happy. The success of ‘Dragon’ is important in this. Because the expectations for ‘Dragon’ were high due to the success of ‘Comali’ and ‘Love Today’.
Behind my success are Aswath, AGS and the fans. The fans have taken me to a very high place through the success of ‘Dragon’. For this, I will be forever grateful to them.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the actors, actresses and technicians who worked on this film,” he said.
It is noteworthy that a special video about the hard work of the film crew in the making of ‘Dragon’ was screened at the 100th day success ceremony, and director Mysskin shared his greetings and love through the video.
