Santhosh Pratap lives in an old palace in a village with his wife Tamanna and two children, who does some maintenance work and is trying to sell it. Zamindar Delhi Ganesh, the owner of the palace, and his granddaughter Rashi Khanna also live in the same place.
Meanwhile, suddenly one day Santosh Pratap is killed by an evil force. The evil force that enters the palace in his form tries to kill his children. Tamannaah, the mother who fights to save the children from it, is brutally murdered. However, the police registered his death as suicide.
Tamannaah’s brother Sundar C comes to the village after learning about the matter and learns that there is a mystery behind the death of his sister and groom and tries to find it out. Meanwhile, some more villagers are murdered. Sunder, who is keen to find out the reason behind these murders, comes to know about the evil Bhag, and learns that the Bhag is trying to kill his younger sister, groom and some villagers along with his younger sister’s daughter. Sundar C who fights to save the girl from it, how does he destroy that evil power?, what is the background of Pak evil power?, why does it try to kill certain people? Answers to such questions are ‘Palace 4’.
Although the story moves in the usual style of films released on the palace line, the film is full of entertaining aspects that celebrate all parties, including boys and girls. The screenplay, which is designed to focus on the evil force Pak, which threatens the people of North Nadu, makes it slightly different from the three palace films that have already been released.
Sundar C, who is playing the lead role, has done justice to his role. Sundar C, who usually crawls in action and comedy scenes, is not that much involved in romantic scenes. The reason is that there are no love scenes in the film.
Tamannaah, who is playing the role of a mother of two children, has beautifully expressed all the emotions of crying, tension, anger, aggression and children’s affection in one scene. She has done her job well as mother and ghost.
Despite being the heroine of the film, Rashi Khanna was not given credit for it. Well, if there is at least one song, Ammani didn’t get that one either. He who shines suddenly, disappears suddenly. If you expect that they will make him dance at least in the final scene, you will be disappointed there too. (The promo song that takes place after the title card of the film is a consolation for the Raashi Khanna army.)
Yogi Babu, Kowai Sarla and VTV Ganesh’s comedy is all laugh out loud. The scenes of late Sesu joining them from time to time are a comedy bonus.
Santhosh Pratap, Ramachandra Raju, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Singam Puli, Sanjay, KS Ravikumar and other stars who have acted in the film have been used for the screenplay.
Music by hip-hop Tamila Aadi, the songs are set in such a way that it compensates for the pace of the film. Moreover, the Amman song in the climax is aggressive and devotional. Background music has traveled well to suit the horror and commercial genres.
Cinematographer E.Krishnamurthy has shot the scenes in a grand manner and has perfectly revealed the expenses incurred for the film in the scenes.
The art director’s hand coloring is visible in the visuals. The giant goddess and the monster statue, the climactic action scenes in it are all aspects that can attract the fans beyond being just a commercial film.
As usual, director Sundar C has kept the logic aside and done the magic of entertainment in a grand way. Although the screenplay and visuals are set to say that this is one of the previous three palace films, it is seen throughout the film that the director Sundar C has managed to bring it to the audience.
From the beginning to the end of the film, the director Sundar C moves the film with only entertainment in mind, making the children celebrate and shake and laugh in scene after scene. On the one hand, the menace of the ghost and on the other side, the comedy party of the stars, the director who gives both in measure to children and women, displays the entire film in a grand manner.
