RJ Balaji’s Singapore Saloon shooting is happening in full swing
RJ Balaji, who sees hair cutting as an art rather than a profession, has been interested in the profession since an early age. But his family objected that cutting hair is a clan business and it is not suitable for us. RJ Balaji, who believes that doing well in any profession is a sign of great progress, studies engineering for his parents. While studying, love blossoms and his passion for the hairdressing industry grows. But, because of that interest he has, his love is broken. RJ Balaji, who is serious about his pursuit of love even when it’s gone, faces many problems in his quest to become number one in the hair cutting business. What was it?, did he recover from it and become as successful in the industry as he thought he was? Isn’t it? The story of the movie ‘Singapore Saloon’ is to say that.

After acting in comedy roles, the actors who play the lead role, no matter what kind of roles they play, the fans will see them with a sense of comedy. Breaking that image is no mean feat. But RJ Balaji breaks such an image in each of his films and no matter what character he plays, he always gets stuck in the minds of the fans as that character. In that way, he has impressed his fans as a young man who wants to succeed in the hair cutting business, and without showing that comedy will come to him at any place, he has presented himself as an actor who can play any role as he can travel as the character of Monda Katiravan.

Sathyaraj’s character is so much that it can be said that he is the second hero of the film. Sathyaraj, who plays the heroine’s father, plays a variety of roles, but in some of them, he suddenly shows a bit of his old fashioned acting. But this role and his performance are brand new and set in a way that binds the entire theater together. Sathyaraj, who owns the entire first half of the film, has taken another new avatar in acting, defeating his Kattappa character.

Meenakshi Chowdhury who plays the heroine, Kishan Das who plays RJ Balaji’s friend, Lal who owns a salon in the village, Thalivasal Vijay who plays RJ Balaji’s father, John Vijay, Robo Shankar, YG Mahendran in other roles travel with the script and appear in a few scenes. They make you laugh or think.

The arrival of Aravindsamy in a special appearance is set to give new excitement not only to RJ Balaji but also to the fans. Special appearances by director Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Jeeva also add strength to the story.

Cinematographer M. Sukumar has shown not only the plot but also the characters beautifully.

Vivek – Mervyn’s music has all the songs to listen to. Background music by Javed Riaz.

Cinematographer Selva RK has composed the scenes to make a story of a normal journey travel with anticipation.

The work of the art director who designed the Singapore salon and the cottages surrounding it, and RJ Balaji who did the hair and make-up, is exquisite.

We have mostly seen movies that are based on police department, medical department, engineering department, industrial department etc. But a huge commercial film with the hairdressing industry as its theme is new to Tamil cinema. At the same time, director Gokul, who has handled the film in such a way as to make the audience laugh out loud and give inspiration to the youth, has conveyed his message to the fans not only very easily but also powerfully.

In the first half, the director moves the scenes cheerfully in the role of Sathyaraj, and the second half takes a bit of a serious journey and gets stuck in the usual circle, which makes the screenplay a bit sluggish. But the screenplay, which picks up pace again with RJ Balaji’s performance and the unexpected problems he faces, breaks the conventional circle and earns applause from the fans.

This business should be done tomorrow, not tomorrow. Director Gokul, who has said that anyone can freely do whatever they like, and if they do it willingly, they can make great progress in any field, rather than imposing it, rather celebrating it, director Gokul has made the film funny in his own style, but the message he wanted to convey is emphasized.
