Q: Is ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ the quickest film you’ve completed in your career?
A: Indeed, if we consider the time from the start of shooting to the release date, ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ can be regarded as a swiftly filmed project. This is not measured in working days alone; despite having completed several films within a 35-day window, ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ took us 72 days to shoot, with my involvement spanning 60 days. Efficient pre-production is crucial for such swift work. Fortunately, we executed thorough pre-production for this film. Having a maestro like Keeravani as our music director was a stroke of luck. Three songs were ready before shooting commenced, and even the background music for the fight sequence was prepared in advance. We shot the fight scenes with the accompanying background music. Keeravani played a pivotal role in the speed and grand scale of the production. Every song is exceptional, making Keeravani the star of our movie.

Q: What drew you to the story of ‘Naa Saami Ranga’?
A: I was captivated by all its elements—friendship, love, sacrifice, and faith. It’s a wonderful narrative filled with human emotions.

Q: Is it true that ‘Sankranti Prabhala Teertham’ is the first time on the Telugu screen?
A: Indeed, the story unfolds during the three days of Bhogi, Sankranti, and Kanuma, set against the backdrop of Sankranti Prabhala Teertham. As a festival close to our hearts, this film, set in the 80s, is a must-watch for the festive season.

Q: ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ has a Malayalam origin. What precautions were taken for a Telugu audience?
A: We ensured the essence of the story was retained. Credit goes to director Binni for meticulous adaptation, and Prasanna for seamlessly blending it with Telugu nativity.

Q: Thoughts on Aashika Ranganath’s role in the film?
A: There’s a unique love story between me and Aashika, depicting our romantic journey since the age of 12. It’s a distinct love tale that unfolds over two decades, and Aashika delivered an outstanding performance.

Q: Tell us about director Vijay Binni and his visual sense.
A: Vijay Binni possesses an excellent visual sense, evident in the beautifully choreographed songs. He has a knack for storytelling through song sequences, which I admire. Binni’s clarity as a director is commendable.

Q: What can you share about the roles of Allari Naresh and Raj Tarun in the film?
A: Naresh’s role was conceptualized before Binni joined the project, focusing on brotherhood. Raj Tarun also plays a crucial character in the story.

Q: The title ‘Naa Saami Ranga’—can you elaborate?
A: The title is inspired by a song from Nanna Garu’s film. It perfectly complements our story, resonating at various points in the movie.
Q: Was it challenging to meet production deadlines?
A:The director, camera department, and all post-production teams worked tirelessly. Coordination among departments ensured a smooth process.

Q: What about the action sequences in the film?

Q: Thoughts on the producers and their support?
