Small investment films are released in the film world and some of them are also getting well received. Did Suragaan, which is released trying to connect with that line, attract the moviegoers?

Karthikeyan, a policeman who is under dismissal due to some reasons, while riding a motorcycle, is hit by a woman on the road and is fighting for her life. Nayagan Karthikeyan takes him to the hospital. The woman dies on the spot without treatment. How did he die? Who is responsible for the woman’s death? Is it murder? Or an accident? Karthikeyan, an honest police officer who is under suspension, enters the field of investigation. Who is that girl in the end? How did he die? The rest of the story is whether the hero discovers it or not.

Although this is a familiar murder mystery story, director Satish Geetha Kumar has told it with a bit of vigour. He has given as much energy as he can give a film with a small budget and has done it as tirelessly as possible. The predictable sequence of events in the film could have been avoided.

Newcomer Karthikeyan has done what he can with a dashing look. The aggressiveness of the police and the corresponding body language are well matched. Actress Subiksha, who comes and goes as a regular heroine, has given a regular performance. He has done his job well in the space he has been given.

Villain Vincent Ashokan is menacing as always in this film. His style, dress, mannerisms are all frightening. Although there were few scenes in the beginning, Mansoor Alikhan has shown a lot of action in the final scenes. His screen presence is in favor of the film. Otherwise, Pandiyarajan, Shadows Ravi, Suresh Menon and Vinothini, who are playing the lead roles, have left to do their work.

James Williams’ cinematography captures the action sequences beautifully. In Achu Rajamani music the background music is ok than the songs. It would have been even better if the director Satish Geetha Kumar, who has made the film in the style of a crime thriller, had made it less predictable.
