After the Second World War, the UK had a shortage of manpower, so people from other countries were employed. Taking advantage of this, many people from Punjab go to England for work. In that way, Taapsee Pannu and her two friends from the state are trying to go to England to recover from economic problems. But they are denied visa as they are not eligible for it. As a result, Shah Rukh Khan, an ex-army man, takes Taapsee and his friends to England through an illegal method known as the Dungey route, who cheats them by giving money to fake agents. What are the problems faced by them going like that?, Did they go to England? Isn’t it? That is the rest of the story of ‘Dunky’.
Dunki Movie POster
Shah Rukh Khan, who plays two villains, the young and the old, makes no effort physically to show the difference between the two villains, playing the old man with gray hair and beard and the young man without the mustache and beard. As usual, Shahrukh Khan, who has rocked the band in romantic scenes and sentimental scenes, is amazing in comedy scenes.

Taapsee Pannu grabs attention for her romantic scenes with Shah Rukh Khan. Her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan has worked well. Suki tries to go to England to rescue her girlfriend who is being abused by her husband in England, screams when she can’t, and then the decision she makes due to the tragedy that befalls her girlfriend is disturbing. Actors playing Taapsee’s friends and Bomman Irani’s role also add strength to the film.

Although the first half of the film is humorous, director Rajkumar Hirani, who has attracted attention through the dialogues, has told the reason for going to England is very simple. It is a major weakness of the film that it is shown cinematically rather than naturally the obstacles that people go through when going to a country illegally, especially crossing several countries to the UK, and the lack of scenes that speak strongly about people who have taken refuge in a country as refugees is disappointing.

Director Rajkumar Hirani, who has designed the screenplay and visuals from the angle of satisfying Shah Rukh Khan’s fans, shows some real photographs and warns about illegal travel from one country to another, and the photo is chilling.

The cinematography by CK Muralitharan, Manush Nandan, Amit Roy and Kumar Pankaj has kept pace with the story. The way the cinematographers have shown Shah Rukh Khan at a very young age is unique in the way he has depicted the Dunki Path journey.

Composer Pritham’s music is all songs are listenable. The background music of Aman Band has traveled along with the story.

Like the politics spoken in ‘PK’, this film has a lot of opportunity to talk about global politics and the pains of refugees, but director Rajkumar Hirani’s avoidance of it is a bit weak for the film, but the way the comedy dialogues handle it, the love scenes between Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee and Shah Rukh Khan’s sentimental scenes attract attention.
