The former star spinner of the Sri Lankan cricket team and the world’s top wicket taker in Test cricket, Muttiah Muralitharan has been involved in the game of cricket since his early career and has gradually risen to the top, achieved a place in the Sri Lankan cricket team, achieved various feats, faced various criticisms, and fought his way out of it. The moving story proved to end with his 800th wicket in his final Test match.

The film chronicles how Muttiah Muralitharan, a Sri Lankan hillbilly Tamil, went through more struggles than he worked hard to become a cricketer, how he faced criticism and successfully bounced back from it to achieve many achievements.

Madhur Mittal, who plays the role of Muttiah Muralitharan, has acted naturally. Without any tension or any attempt to bring Muthiah Muralitharan into himself, he has acted by realizing the character.

Mahima Nambiar, who is playing the role of Muttiah Muralitharan’s wife Madhimalar, has few scenes, but she has acted flawlessly.

King Ratnam who plays the role of Arjuna Ranatunga looks just like him and does justice to the character.

Naren, who is playing the role of LTTE leader Prabhakaran, even comes in one scene and gets applause with his lines.

Nasser, Vadikukarasi, Vela Ramamurthy, Rithvika, Sarath Lokithaswa, Hari Krishnan, Vinod Sagar, Dileepan, Rithvik all the actors in the film are suitable choices for the character.

RD Rajasekhar’s cinematography brings the old times right before our eyes. Although cricket matches are simple, they give us the experience of sitting in those stadiums.

In Gibran music, the songs and the background music travel according to the story.

Although it is a biopic of world famous cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan, director MS Sreepathi has written the screenplay of the film with a lot of emphasis on how he faced criticism of his bowling and how hard he went to prove his side of justice.

The director has emphatically recorded the opinion that Muthiah Muralitharan, who despite being a Tamil was in support of the Sri Lankan government and against the armed struggle of the LTTE, did not want innocent people to be harmed by the war.

As it is a biopic of Muttiah Muralitharan, the scenes of the film are set to give importance to his views, but the role of LTTE leader Prabhkaran in only one scene and his lines like “Don’t tell those who hit you back, tell those who hit you first” and “It’s a part of my brother” brought applause from the audience. Vibrating.

Born into a well-to-do family, Muttiah Muralitharan, despite being a hillbilly Tamil from Sri Lanka, clearly found it no big deal to rise as a cricketer. That’s why the film focuses on the criticism he faced after becoming a great cricketer and how he successfully recovered from it and took 800 wickets.

As a movie, the moving screenplay and interesting visuals make the movie thoroughly enjoyable.
