A girl child is born to the unmarried Mulayarasi-Ashok couple living together. Samuthirakani-Abhirami, who is childless due to poverty, gets money and gives this child to Mullayarasi-Ashok couple. Mullayarasi thinks she wants her adopted child back after a year. For that, he tries hard to get the child back, but in the end, he follows Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, who hosts a TV show called ‘Cholladhum Pratya’, which solves people’s problems.

Although Lakshmi Ramakrishnan moved the show emotionally with the baby and the birth mother, she could not solve the problem. Meanwhile, the police enter into the problem, alleging that there is a violation of law in the adoption of the child and register a case against the Samuthirakani-Abhirami couple and rescue the child from them and put it in an orphanage. Then how does the court deal with this case?, how do the makers of Lakshmi Ramakrishnan’s TV show, who approached the issue emotionally, try to commercialize it?, who got the baby in the end? Answering questions like ‘are you ok baby’ is the closest to the truth.

Director Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, who is giving people’s life in very realistic films, has designed the screenplay and visuals of the film in a manner that sheds light on the commercial approaches behind television shows and has also talked extensively about the problems of child adoption in our country
Both Samuthirakani and Abhirami, who play childless couple, have realized their characters. Samuthirakani’s performance has given the film a great strength, conveying the feelings of her character to the audience with a complete performance with less dialogues.

Abhirami’s performance is intimidating as she portrays the pains of childless mothers. In particular, the scene of breast-feeding for a foster child is the height of tenderness.

The performance of the queen who gives birth to a child without marriage attracts attention. On the one hand, the emotional struggle to get back the child given by poverty, on the other hand, he has expressed all the emotions in a very natural way.

Ashok, who plays Mullayarasi’s lover, Aadukalam Naren, who plays the judge, and director Mishkin, are all suitable choices for the characters and have given the film a strong boost with their performances.

Krishna Shekhar’s cinematography has traveled according to the story and has shot the scenes naturally to make the audience travel along with the plot.

Ilayaraja’s music has traveled to give life to emotional scenes.

CS Prem Kumar’s exquisite cinematography keeps the compelling story moving smoothly.

The courage of director Lakshmi Ramakrishnan who has said what he wanted to say without any compromise must be appreciated. Moreover, the person who has spoken out loud about the fact that such television shows are centered on the grassroots, is praised for neutrally telling the background.

The actor, who has directed the film and also hosted the TV show, has raised eyebrows by bravely revealing the purpose of the show and his bitter experiences behind it.

Director Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, who has made people understand the pain of a childless couple and the practical problems of adopting a child, has written an interesting screenplay on how law and society deal with such problems and has emphasized the importance of finding a permanent solution.

All in all, this ‘Are You OK Baby’ is not only a talking point but also a movie that people should definitely watch.
