Living in a village named Veeranur, Adi was struck by lightning at a young age and lost consciousness. His sister takes him to Singapore for further treatment. There his physical condition is healed and lightning power is generated in his body. Adi also learns that he can control other people’s brains with that power.

Meanwhile, Adi dreams of a threat to his Veeranur village. Adi comes to Veeranur village from Singapore and comes to know that Vinay, a scientist from London, is trying to implement a terrible project that will endanger the people of Veeranur village. How does Adi, who tries to save the people who don’t understand about the impending danger, how does he do it? That is the rest of the story of ‘Veeran’.

There is a special fan base for superhero films worldwide. This hero, unlike the superheroes of the world, comes across as a village superhero and simple.

Aadi, who has been successful in a few films as a hero, has handled the character keeping in mind that he has to do it without breaking the logic even though he has taken on the avatar of a superhero. While his boyish face and acting do justice to Kumaran’s character, the fact that he acts like a mere hero in routine skits even after his superhero avatar as Veeran weakens the character a bit.

Debutant Adira Raj, who plays the female lead, is a family-friendly face but not a female lead. She also crawls as a character rather than a heroine.

Vinay, who plays the villain, Sasi, the YouTuber who plays Adi’s friend, Munishkanth, Kali Venkat, all the actors in the film have been used sparingly.

Deepak T. Menon’s cinematography beautifully captures the scenes and captures the scenes of the superhero hero naturally and believably.

All the songs in Hip Hop Adi’s music are listenable. The background music goes along with the story.

The editor Prasanna GK could have reduced the amount of scenes and the length of the film a bit.

Director ARK Saravan, who became known as a director with a sense of humor with the film ‘Maragata Nanayanam’, has tried to give the same comedy mixed with some action in this film. His attempt has only gone sour from the start.

Although it is a superhero genre film, the director has designed the character of the hero in a simple way so that even common people can understand it, and the story and scenes are also designed in a very simple way, but the length of the scenes and the slow screenplay make it a bit boring.

A major weakness of the film is that the director, who has given importance to both action and comedy, has not told both to the satisfaction of the fans. However, the fact that the superhero film is not told in the usual style, but in a normal manner that is accessible to all parties, makes the film a little more enjoyable.

All in all, this ‘veeran’ is just a hero.
