Virupaksha means Lord Shiva. Director Karthik Varma Dandu has tried to give the contest between the forces of evil and the forces of good as a fast-paced suspense thriller and an edge-of-the-seat horror genre film.
Sai Dharam Tej, who plays the hero, looks like the heir of the Chiranjeevi family. Even though the work given to him is less, he has done his lesser work with emphasis on the story.
Samyukta Menon, who is playing the heroine, is not a commercial heroine but has played a role that is important in the story. A creeper in the first half is a threat in action in the second half.
Sunil, Brahmaji, Rajeev Kanakala, Ajay, Ravi Krishna, all the actors in the film have done their job well.
Cinematographer Samdat Sainuddin’s work adds tremendous strength to the film. The cinematographer, who keeps the characters beautiful and entertaining, also manages to intimidate with horror scenes.
Composer Ajaneesh Loknath’s music has only one song that makes you listen again and again. Just as the pejeum in love scenes is mind-blowing, the background music in horror scenes is haunting.
The work of the film editor Navin Nabi and the work of the art director have added more strength to the film, who have edited the love scenes in the fast-moving screenplay and ensured that the pace of the screenplay does not slow down.
V. Prabhakar’s dialogue gives the feeling of watching a live Tamil film rather than watching a Telugu dubbed film.
Director Sukumar’s screenplay helps the film to move interestingly with many unpredictable twists and turns. Moreover, the fact that the screenplay has moved on without breaking the suspense till the climax has added great strength to the film.
Karthik Varma Dandu, who has written and directed the story, moves the film briskly through the horror scenes despite the simple story.
The director takes us into the story in the first scene of the film and then makes us watch the film with anticipation through every incident, what will happen next? Who is behind the mysterious deaths? keeps the suspense moving unpredictably till the end.
All in all, ‘VirUpaksha’ is a treat for suspense thriller and horror fans.
